Publisher's summary

Georgia, SuSu, Teeny, Diane, and Linda are back in a new celebration of life and women’s friendships from the New York Times best-selling author of The Red Hat Club.

The Red Hats are back, in rare form. When childhood friend Pru Bonner - black sheep of the group - falls off the wagon so hard it shakes the Red Hats’ world, “the girls” rally to get her into rehab with a hilarious kidnapping in Vegas and act as her family for group therapy - whether Pru wants it or not.

Then, Teeny celebrates Pru’s successful release with a one-month, carte blanche plastic surgery cruise for all six of them, after which Diane explores the unpredictable world of Internet dating. As always, laughter and heart are spiced with secrets, surprises, and pitfalls aplenty, including a pregnancy test for a 50-something, a fight for life for one of them, a gold-digging romeo, and a surprise wedding that proves it’s never too late for love.

nooooo

i have read three other books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed them (waking up in dixie / wedding belles / ladies of the lake). this one, not at all...the whole chapter on choosing your make up / clothing colors...the chapter on stripping down to nothing to show off their plastic surgery??
if i had read this book first, i would have gone no further.
love this narrator!

Southern belles at their hilarious best

Highly entertaining from first to last, read with a perfect Atlanta drawl--not too much, and absolutely believable.

I wish I could hang out with the red hats--they're tremendous!

Let's hear it for the ladies!

Any additional comments?

This is just a good old fun read. I loved it when I was younger and even more now that I'm their age. I wish I could join the club!

The narrator does an excellent job of defining characters and projecting the appropriate mood.

I love it!

Another smashing hit with this pairing

I've grown to love Haywood Smith's books so much because even though I'm not from Atlanta, I am from the South. I love hearing phrases and colloquialisms my great-grandmother, grandmother and great-aunts use(d).

Pair that with a voice that sounds just like those precious ladies and you've got yourself a bit!

Great job once again, y'all!
