Critic reviews

"Dekker pens an absorbing thriller that convincingly blurs the lines between fantasy and reality....The Christian symbolism woven into the story will delight readers of faith, and the intriguing plot will interest general fantasy readers." (Publishers Weekly)

Captivating intrigue

You know which world you live in but reading this book makes you wonder which world will end up being the real one for Thomas Hunter. I love mystery and have not been a big fantasy fan but this book mixes mystery into both worlds in such a way that it captivated me with its intrigue. I am anxiously waiting for 'White".

Great Reframing of a Familiar Story!

I love this series. Dekker does a fantastic job retelling a familiar story in a way to give you fresh eyes and heart about the gospel. Still my favorite usage of this dream world situation. 🙂

So delightfully delicious!

I so very much enjoyed this second book “Red” by Ted Dekker and performed by Rob Lamont. All the twists, turns, and sudden unexpected revelation kept me longing for the next page, the next paragraph, the next word. Bravo!

Breath taking

As with the first two books, I could not stop listening, it kept me on the edge until finished, and I am very sorry to think I am just about to start the final book in the series. The narrator was fantastic as usual

Really phenomenal analogy

I love trying to piece everything together as I listen. This one really has made me eager to get the next book and start reading it now. There was so much depth of character in this one even though there was so many details to the story, I really loved this.

Captivating

Captivating and intriguing are weak words but as in all of the Dekker books the first two, Black and now Red follow suit. White, here I come!

awesome second act

What did you love best about Red?

the obvious christian allegory is enticing and well worth study

What about Rob Lamont’s performance did you like?

the only downside is that the pronunciation of some of the names changed from book one
