Publisher's summary

After 10 generations, the Reaper is coming to collect his due....

The dark witch, Umaa, was raised for one purpose: to punish the white men for taking her people as slaves. Her revenge was terrible. Harpers Town burned along with every living thing within its boundaries. The price was to be her soul, but she cheated death and even cheated the devil. Impressed, Satan postponed his payment for 10 generations.

In the modern era, Lita Harper is the 10-times descendent of Umaa. The circle is closing, and it's time for the Reaper to collect her soul. Lita learns the shocking truth about the cursed patch of Washington, D.C., that had once been Harpers Town, and of the hooded figure carrying a scythe who can be seen patrolling the perimeter of the area known as...The Reapers Walk.

Offers sweeping history and plenty of terror.

Would you listen to Reaper's Walk: Hellstone again? Why?

I intend to re-listen to this book several times! Its a good scare, keeps the tension above level so that you want to keep going!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reaper's Walk: Hellstone?

The chronological description of the slaver trade was interesting. And how the magick moved from one generation to the next.

What about Jeane July’s performance did you like?

She's quite good at a number of accents. I do not normally like women's voice as narrator, but this artist is quite good at it. I would listen to her again.

Who was the most memorable character of Reaper's Walk: Hellstone and why?

Well, Lita, of course, the protagonist. But Grandma was quite the character, too!

Any additional comments?

This is a sweeping tale of Dark Magick being used for vengeful purposes, and the dilemma it leaves for one family member who must pay the price.
