    "Intense book"

This book was a good. I would recommend it. True love pulled apart by a horrible accident. Almost a decade later their undeniable love finally draws them back together unexpectedly. Sadly, they realize all those years separated could have been avoided. An abusive controlling husband is the biggest barrier for them to find that happily ever after.

    "Romantic, emotional and breathtaking"

I have to begin this review by reminding listeners that Romantic Fiction is just that – Fiction. Something feigned, invented, or imagined; a made-up story meant to entertain.
If you can get past a few unrealistic plot points you will absolutely love this emotional and extremely romantic book. If you enjoy your listens with a little less fantasy and a bit more reality then perhaps you should skip this one.

This book really “pulled” at my heartstrings and its dream-like quality really swept me up and took me away into the fantasy and reality of love lost but never forgotten. This is a beautiful love story that will take your breath away.

My only complaint is with the narration. I really liked Andi Arndt but the listen could have been amazing if they had a male narrator for Daniel’s POV.

    Story
"i'm on the fence with this one..."

i love fairy tales. honest. i do. i love You've Got Mail and Never Been Kissed and Say Anything. i'm a romantic, but...

i found some things really lacking in this book and as much as i tried to LOVE it, and some parts i did, i still had a tough time overcoming some of the plot points. in fact, i found myself rolling my eyes and mumbling about "oh give me a break!"

    the one biggest annoyance?

when melanie goes to see daniel (after being pulled from him by her idiot parents) and goes to visit him, walks into the house and does NOT see daniel (who was taking a shower). instead?! instead she listens to a jealous wannabe girlfriend, stephanie, telling her that he's moved on and daniel no longer wants melanie. so melanie LEAVES (after flying all that way to see daniel) without actually SEEING him. i really had a HARD time believing that ANY real lover/girlfriend/soulmate WHATEVER, would not say, "no. i'm here to see him. i will WAIT in the living room until he comes out of the shower."

and then the next nine years of idiocy wouldn't happen and we wouldn't have the book. lol

so of course i have to go along for the crazy ride that is this book Pulled and continue rolling my eyes when this sort of stuff happened...over and over and over.

these are my questions that really never got answered....
--why did melanie's husband hate her so much?
--why didn't she ever try to talk to her dad and rectify that situation?
--why didn't she just PICK UP THE PHONE and call daniel?
--why didn't daniel EVER try to find her?
--why didn't erin tell daniel the truth rather than waiting NINE years?

there's so many annoyances with this book that i have a difficult time giving it five stars. i'm one of those reviewers that LOVES to give a book five stars if i LOVED it. i just can't do it in this case and that makes me sad because it had potential. it really did.

however, with that said, the love between these two is palpable. i felt it every time they were together. their love was perfectly written. sometimes i was upset that melanie didn't do or say the things i would, but i have to remind myself that she's young and naive.

as for the narration? i am being absolutely truthful when i say that after being an audible member for over six years, that this was one of the finest performances i've ever listened to.
she was brilliant. there could have been a male voice for daniel's parts, but in all fairness to andi, i thought she was OUTSTANDING in both voices----as well as the others. i will look for her work from here on out....

in the end, i'll give Pulled three stars because it's a great book but needs some work, but a solid five stars for narration!

I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.

"Offically the "Number 1" book in My Library"

Spellbinding, intense, heartbreaking and I LOVED this book. Get two boxes of tissue and prepare yourself to be swept away into the most intensely beautiful love story I have ever listened to. Like I said, this is number 1 in my library. No it's not a sexually graphic novel but its a spiritually graphic one. It's tragic but beautiful. It's love like every woman wants to find. I'd gladly give more than one credit for this book! Yes it's that good. I'm actually shocked it hasn't got off the charts reviews.

    "Completely unbelievably wonderful!!"
Would you listen to Pulled again? Why?

I did listen to Pulled again twice back to back.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Daniel was my favorite character because he loved so deeply at such a young age. I cried so much reading this book being reminded a an old love lost. My wish for the world is love like A. L. Jackson writes about.

    Which scene was your favorite?

There were so many, but when Daniel take Melanie to the little home off campus memories from my first little home came flooding back and of course I cried again

If you could take any character from Pulled out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Melanie. Our lives parallel so much we could talk for ages.

    Any additional comments?

This is a must read you would not be wasting one minute of your precious time and can even learn from this amazing story. I'm picking out another Jackson book right now

    "Very Good!"

This was a wonderful story of young love that lasts for life. The narrator did a good job. At first you feel her soft high pitch will wear on you but as you continue it fits the character of Melanie. All in all it was a very beautiful story that brought a tear here and there.

    "Puuuulled"

Teens ! If you love a sugary, long and drawn out painful romance, narrated and over acted in a superbly teen pitched voice (Andi Arndt), then this is the audible book for you. You will love it.
Adults !! Leave it on the 'shelf' so to speak, and save your credit.

"A Soap Opera for your Commute"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not. It was so dramatic the whole time. The only reason I finished it is because I was on a long drive and didn't have a back up book ready. The main characters are so serious and intense. There's nothing to lighten the mood ever.

Would you be willing to try another book from A. L. Jackson? Why or why not?

No because I can tell this is how he/she writes. It's a lot of "Oh Daniel..." "Oh Melanie.." "OH DANIEL!!" "OH MELANIE!!" I'd say 60% of the book is fluff from the two of them describing their ~deep~, ~incredible~ love for each other.

Did Andi Arndt do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I actually liked the narrator. It's always hard when its one narrator for male and female characters but I could tell the difference between them.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Sure on Netflix, on a very boring day with nothing else to do.

    Any additional comments?

If you like ~drama~ and ~passion~ *eye roll* sure, read it. The story itself isn't bad but you know it's not a good sing when you start siding with the parents who kept them apart...

"You'll be "pulled" into this 2nd chance romance!"
Where does Pulled rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was the first novel of author AL Jackson's that caught my eye but at the time I couldn't purchase a copy. So I ended up reading her Closer To You series first and simply fell in love with her talent for writing emotionally beautiful and heartfelt stories. The Pulled audiobook is definitely one that I would listen to again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Daniel and Melanie were my favorite characters. I felt that author AL Jackson did a fantastic job at immersing you in their individual reality. Their love, pain and desire were easy to experience. How they survived their separation individually totally fit each of them.

Have you listened to any of Andi Arndt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No. Not applicable.

If you could rename Pulled, what would you call it?

I wouldn't rename it actually because "Pulled" perfectly described the energy between Melanie and Daniel.

    Any additional comments?

The main villains in this story - Stephanie, Vanessa and Nick - did a hell of job at keeping Melanie and Daniel apart for 9 years, effectively and thoroughly disrupting their "pull" so greatly that I couldn't help but to rejoice when they each got their individual comeuppance. I do wish that Nick's punishment could've been more severe, but overall I was delighted with the dramatic resolution of Melanie and Daniel's 2nd chance romance.
