Felt like a waste of time...

What a terrible ending! All of that for that? Long and drawn out with a terrible ending

EXCELLENT!!

I wasn't sure what to expect . However, I was pleasantly pleased by the story matter and the narrator's performance. I cannot wait to listen to the next book in this series .

Power & Beauty!!!!

Omg, this book was so good, I been wanting to read this book for awhile now and glad I gotten the chance. And finally, when they were about to meet again Power got snatched up ugh… I got to get part 2 I need to become I’m itching to know what will happen.

Btw: the narrator did an excellent job with this story.

Where does Power & Beauty rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I read a lot of books all different categories. This ranks up there only because I didn't expect a lot from the author or the book. But it was a decent read/listen.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

No reaction. But it was decent. Keeps me looking fwd to what's next.

Really Good Book

Really good book, can't stop reading it! I've checked this book out so many times at the library I bought it. And Part Two too

Pleasant surprise

I overlooked this book for a year. iv didn't think it was going to be worth the credit. Boy was I wrong. I actually enjoyed the book and the way it all came together. I hope part 2 is just as good.

**BOOM** Not as expected*** Actually really GOOD!

Ok so I didn’t read the narrative about the book and simply assumed it was an autobiography of sorts. (((NOT!!)) It’s a novel a pretty good novel. Initially I thought it was about T.I.’s life, but the story didn’t match up with the things “I know” about T.I.

The book has two main characters that it follows in a coming of age type of story line (which I heart). The drama and the twist and turns are unexpected. Some events seems unrealistic, like the portions of the young girl moving to all these places (East & West coasts and the Midwest ) and being put up w/o paying rent, obtaining hands-on formal training in the fashion industry. The same things happening with the guy in the book, moving around and learning the drug business indirectly by being put up and not paying his own way. I also think it is very unbelievable for a guy in which they portrayed to be able to carry out one of his 1st tasks w/o hesitation or a bit of remorse. That is all I can say without telling you the intricate details.

GO BUY, IT’S A REALLY GOOD READ!!!

what a surprise

i stumbled upon this book and I really really enjoyed it definitely getting book 2.

My word!!!!! This book was good and pulled you into character! What was intended to be a book for my bookclub turned into a book my family got hooked on. I cannot wait to listen to the next one!

Yes, this was a good book.. It was really interesting and the characters were really well developed.Two people who come from the same place can go in such different directions!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Wanda, she knew everything and everybody. (she thought)

What about Prentice Onayemi’s performance did you like?

He was so great! When I first heard Slim's voice I would have sworn that Ving Rhames was narrating!

If you could take any character from Power & Beauty out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Wanda, I would love to sit and listen to her talk about everything!

I choose this book because of TI and it was only $5 but I was delightfully surprised.But the ending left me hanging and wanting more. I want to know how Power and Beauty's story ends.
