Publisher's summary

Essence number-one best-selling author Kiki Swinson holds nothing back in this sensational tale of a scheming lawyer without limits.

Yoshi Lomax loves playing dirty. She'll do whatever it takes to win a case - including bribing cops, sleeping with her superiors, and convincing her DEA pals to make evidence disappear. But when Yoshi runs out of tricks while defending a Haitian mob boss, the gangster makes one thing clear: Yoshi either wins the case or loses her life.

What people would do for money....SMH!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it tells you exactly what happens when you live life for money rather than living life for you and the people you love.

What other book might you compare Playing Dirty to and why?

Don't know yet. But, this book has me looking for more like it...

What about Simi Howe’s performance did you like?

She was a fabulous reader!!! loved it....

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

All money is not good money

Any additional comments?

The only down fall is the way it ended. Is there a part 2? I hate not know what happen to the end and to everyone else...

That Damned Yoshi!

Very good read. Yoshi seemed to have it all, but what goes up must come down. She was a cold piece, but her world came crashing down around her due to her manipulation. Can't wait for the 2nd part. The Narrator was good as well!

Well written

Yoshi was very deep. She played men like playing a guitar. Loved It. A must read. She slept her way to the top.

to be so smart she was kinda stupid

She had book and body smarts but lacking in the common sense department. She did a lot of stupid things. Especially since she knows the law so well.

Just Ok

The book was okay but not realistic. I would say do some research before using government entities. Also, the narrator had an annoying lisp that was hard to get past

Not believable

She did all that dirt & got away but everyone else died because of her. She didn't learn her lesson with really no consequences. Selfish. A waste of my time!

gheeeettttto

I think Kiki needs to go back to the community college that she got to publish this book and take a few creative writing classes. I don't know what was more poorly researched, the contents contents of this high school fictional narrative or the audience that this was intended for. Absolutely terrible story. although she did a very good job at making sure you dislike the main character. She really should not be writing legal thrillers. the thing that really pissed me off of the attempt at bring in the DEA. there is no such thing as a director and they don't investigate murder cases. Usually they say people who swear a lot are just showing there ignorance, well Kiki has proven that that is true even when you writ it. Defiantly don't waste a credit, and I wouldn't pay 1.00 for this one. The only list I could ever really take seriously with this book on it would be Jerry Springers book club list!!!
