Winters can be brutally cold and lonely in Pennsylvania, so Sadie rejoices when a renter signs up for a three-month stay in her guest cottage. But when wealthy, impulsive Englischer Kade Saunders arrives, she isn't sure she wants him around that long. Sadie feels the stress of the bishop's watchful eye, expecting her to act in accordance with the Ordnung, the understood behavior by which the Amish live.
To complicate things, Kade is soon surprised with sole custody of a child he barely knows - his five-year-old autistic son, Tyler. Sadie and young Tyler form an immediate connection. As she grows to love and understand this exceptional child, her feelings for Kade grow into something that both terrifies and exhilarates her. And while Kade seems to feel the attraction to her as well, their worlds couldn't be farther apart.
Sadie must stay true to her Amish roots, but denying the love she feels is impossible. Could it be that God has the improbable in store for Sadie? And will she have the faith to step into a love bigger than she's ever dreamed possible?

I love the whole Plain Promise Series. I read this book and then read one of the corresponding stories in Colorado. I decided I was missing stuff so i started back at the beginning at book one. It was great. I was excited to listen to this one again!
I am a miracle worker. Doing what I can to choose love over fear.
Sure! I love this series and the spin-off books. Three stars does not mean it is quite good. Book one had such a fantastic plot which is unfair to the other plots. My favorite part of this entire series is the safety. When I am sad or stressed I turn t on( Boo one, not this.) and I visit Jonas( I wish he could be a real person I could talk to and play chess with.) If you wonder why I have not written about book one here it is because I am a member of Audible UK site as well. When I look at the total titles bought this year on this site alone I jump. Why do I include this personal thoughts? Because I want you to understand that the titles I share with you are titles I either:
a.) ***** Five stars are fab
b.) **** Four stars: Great but not on rep on my phone
c.) *** Three stars Worth money or the credit - because I love an author or a series.
d.) ** A clear credit change no matter who reads or wrote the book
e.) * One star: Should NEVER have been published
The reason I feel it is an idea to give this scale is because I do not want you to miss this great listen. It is a series for those of us who are a Christian or those of us who want a romance without any X-rated scenes.
Yes! Yes! Yes! For Pete sake I gave it three stars. I did not give it one. Sadly many of her books are not for sale due to my region.
She reads it so perfectly: I can hear Jonas. Oh ¨, Jonas.
Too stupid too answer but YES!
