Picking up where the suspenseful Payback with Ya Life left off, we’re plunged back into the hip-hop drama, where the men are hot and dangerous, the women know their shoes from their Choos, and they will stop at nothing to get what they want. In a game of power and intrigue where the stakes are high and the rewards are dazzling, the losers are gonna discover there’s always a price to pay.

Audio books are growing. I have listened to books for months now, But I prefer my books in paperback/hardback format.
Dang this book had so many surprise like dang I didn't even see it coming. I wonder if old boy got shot . but I know I'll find out in part 4. But dang they got Briggen good I was rooting for him and shan but oh well they said everything green on the other side is not what it seems I think something's gone happened in part 4 can't wait to listen lol.
Good story however, each narrator threw me off with a different pronunciation for the main character's names. In Pt 2, Shady became Sharday (phonetic). In this book, Shan became Shawn. Initially, it threw me, then later (throughout the book), it just irritated me. It was a good story bit perhaps the narrators need to become familiar with the characters?
If you like books related to the streets (hood and gangsters), this book series is for you!!
Book #1 Payback Is a Mutha
Book #2 Payback with Ya Like
Book #3 Payback Ain't Enough
Book #4 Blood, Sweat, & Payback
I love audio books & my Kindle is always with me. Good or bad, I hate not knowing how a book or series will end.
Got me thru the work day
Rough transitions between scenes
Lacked character development
Story lacked clarity which led to an ending that didn’t make sense
Characters drama and treachery almost became too confusing to keep up with
Series didn’t make sense to me
Characters or character observations that stood out
Shanae- confused, naïve, weak unlikeable, unbelievable character.
Her level of being completely of unaware was hard to believe.
The “bosses” (Janae, Briggen, Nick) did not come across that way
I lover of street literature!
Ratchet.... Ratchet... Ratchet....
I've always liked Briggen. He keeps it real at all times.
I love all the books that Nicole read but this book was a little complex for just 1 reader. There are a lot of male characters and a male reader would have been helpful. It was difficult to follow along with the voices. Nicole should have listened to the previous books because the pronunciation of Shan's name changed for Shan to Shawn not acceptable for the 3rd book in the series.
Yes I listened to all 4 books in the series.
The story was cool. I've read the first 2 books and this one was just ok. It felt rushed and really didn't end well. Shan was so ditzy and I really didn't care for her towards the middle. Its so many missing pointd.
Either an additional narrator with a little more base in their voice, or a male narrator along with the female narrator Nicole Small
No, not at all
I couldn't keep up with the characters and would have to rewind to see if it was a male or female character speaking.
I did listen to the book to the end, but was disappointment for the many times I was lost as to which character was talking.
