Lovely listen
This was the first book I've listened to by this author, and it was well worth the credit.
The narration was great too. It was a thought provoking tale of death and life as viewed by a young boy. I felt a real emotional connection, it was a plausible story. I enjoyed the slow pace of the book, it suited the time and place and allowed for contemplation. Worth while checking this one out.

Great book
This is one of the best books I've ever read. The plot thickens as the story moves along taking lots of twists & turns along the way. I laughed & cried throughout the whole book.
It made such an impact on me that I'll have to take a little time off before moving picking up another book.

Who could imagine that it would happen to them?
This is an extremely well developed story. I was able to picture the characters in my mind as the story was read. There is a natural ability to connect some way to each of the characters because as a listener I felt that I knew these people or knew someone who knew them or their stories. The setting was exquisitely described. Very picturesque setting for a childhood, with tragic under tones. Parts of the story were shocking and heart-breaking. Who would have thought it could happen? I will end here as I do not want to reveal too much of the story line. I will listen to it again. The narration was superb. Will look for more by this author.
