A great piece of Literature

This is the best piece of literature I have listened to since to Kill Mocking Bird ! I loved the charters and the insight of the author to make them so visible in my mind! Just a great piece of Literature! Very Notable.

Thoughtful, Heartwarming, and Well Written

If you grew up in the midwest in the late 1950's or the 1960's this book will resonate with you. If you like an American tale that includes characters that are as complicated as people are in real life, this book will appeal to you. And if you've ever struggled with the mysteries of the nature of faith and spirituality, you'll enjoy this book.

Magnificent character development

I loved this book. All of the characters were exquisitely real. The story kept my attention rivited throughout the book. I also bought Audible narration loved the smooth southern voice. Thank you Mr Krueger and Mr Orlow

Rich Orlow's narration brought this tale to life.

I really enjoyed this story, a coming of age for a 13 year old young man. If you want a fast paced mystery thriller, this is not what you are looking for. But if you want a 1960's down home family saga with two young brothers living in a small town with a preacher for a father, a mother who thought she was marrying a lawyer, and a few unresolved murders, (or were they accidents?) then this is for you. I could relate to the small town life and especially the timeframe of the 1960's. Rich Orlow did a wonderful narration, I might not have enjoyed the story as much if not reading the audible version. My only con was sometimes I felt like Frankie seemed to act older than a normal 13 year old, but otherwise I certainly enjoyed my 11 hours with Mr. Krueger, Frankie, his stuttering brother and his musical mother and sister. This one gets 5 stars.

A Simple Life Lived

In the same vein as To Kill a Mockingbird, Ordinary Grace is a coming of age novel that took me back to a time gone by and I so enjoyed being there but at the same time miss those days long gone. I honestly miss spending time with Frank and Jake now that it's over.

Decent book

I enjoyed the story, but the ending was too heavy handed - too many obvious clues pointing to who did it.

Wonderfully written. Down at times

Krueger demonstrates a masterful grasp of word painting. Many parts of the book are sad, but I love it just the same.

So easy to connect to the characters

Laughed out loud at many points, was easy to follow, believable, enjoyed the 1960's setting.
