Just get rid of the stupid music

Dolan's Caddy
Crouch End &
Suffer the Children are the 3 best in my opinion

There’s something for everyone.

Not all stories will appeal to everyone. I’ve just finished listening to Salem’s Lot and commented about how I disliked the music. Same applies here. Distracting and doesn’t bring anything to any of the stories. The recordings are starting to feel a little “dated”, compared to the quality we are used to nowadays. I skipped a couple of stories because the voice of the narrators was just painful to listen to.

I love Stephen King's Short Stories

I loved all of the stories except for Head Down and Brooklyn August. My favorite was Dolan's Cadillac and Suffer the Little Children . I enjoyed this audiobook so much that I plan on watching the miniseries Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King.

Please re-release in one volume.

Now don’t get me wrong, I love Nightmares & Dreamscapes. But I’m someone who likes to listen to a book and read along (via my Kindle) at the same time. However, since the stories in these 3 volumes don’t line up with the book that makes it kind of tricky.

Please, Please rerelease this book in one volume with the stories arranged like the book itself is, I’ll even buy it again if that’s what it takes.

It didn't fit

The little league essay was too much for me and my eyes started to glaze over. I couldn't help it. I waswaiting for someone to die horribly, but that never happened. It was a pretty interesting bit of memorabilia for his son Owen.

Very Interesting Listening

I am a long time reader Stephen King Fan. First time listening to one of his novels. Took a little time getting use to listening, but quickly adapted to the narrator-tones, except for the high-tone narrator. The quality and story was great. I enjoyed this audio book. One note on narration interest--I like the low-tone narrators best for easy listening.

Worth the listen

The stories were good. Some of the readers were a bit hard to understand. The baseball story at the end was the most enjoyable.

It was OK.

I thought the first and the last stories were sort of dumb and just seem to drag on without really coming to a point but the rest of them weren’t bad.

You can't go wrong with Stephen King

My mom used to play nightmares and dreamscapes on long car rides when I was younger. I remember we had the cassettes. lol But having this on Audible is amazing and brought back so many memories. Having these amazing voices bring alive such incredible short stories is definitely a great way to relax. I've always loved Stephen King and what he can bring to the mind. Just one story and you are hooked and feening for the rest.
