Publisher's Summary

Sin City. An artificial oasis of pleasure, spectacle, and entertainment, the gambling capital of America has reinvented itself so many times that it's doubtful that anyone knows for sure what's real and what isn't in the miles of neon and scorching heat. Las Vegas is considered the ultimate player's destination, no matter what your game. Almost anything is available - for a price, mind you - and sometimes losers will walk away from the tables with even less than just an empty wallet or purse; sometimes they don't walk away at all.

Las Vegas is the true city that never sleeps, where fortunes are made and lost every day, and where snake-eyes aren't found just on a pair of dice.

Contributors include James Swain, S. Z. Rozan, Wendy Hornsby, Michael Collins, T. P. Keating, J. Madison Davis, Sue Pike, Joan Richter, Libby Fischer Hellmann, Tom Savage, Edward Wellin, K.j.a. "Tedious"

I love Michael Connelly, but didn't realize this book would have so little of his own work in it. Some stories were good. This was the only audio book I quit listening to before it was done. Waste of a credit.

    "Awful"

These folks have somehow taken the most exciting place in the world and made it boring.
    Couldn't finish it.

    "No real point to it"

This is a group of shirt stories that you hope may connect to eachother in some way and yet doesn't. It is as interesting as reading college essays...one after the other after the other. I had to quit listening

    "Lame Collection, Cringeworthy Performance"

Michael Connelly is a formidable writer and his own books are reliably voiced by talented performers.
I suggest that, in future, he resist temptation to add his name to projects of this calibre.

    "Not their best work"
Would you try another book from the authors and/or Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante ?

    Yes, love Michael Connelly.

What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?

It's like most of the stories were trying too hard. They didn't hold my attention.
