I liked the fact that the author was also the narrarator. He's able to add emphasis where someone may not have picked up on the pages.
I have listened to several other narrators and I think Frank Peretti did a fine job. I did find the soundeffects at the begining of each chapter a little distracting.
Good story but I was expecting a spiritual allegory. I kept waiting for an analogy to be drawn but it never happened. Interesting and enjoyable story though.
A wild adventure! I was never bored and it kept me with my muscles tense in a lot of places. I highly recommend for anyone who is a scifi monster fan.
What was hard to get past was the narrarator doing the voice of one of the female characters. It almost made it unbearable but I got past it. The story is just so-so and I am surprised because the Piercing the Darkness, etc. books were so good.
I absolutely love this book! It was one of my late mothers favorites and it hold a million memories of reading together in her last days!
loved this book so much that i cant stop talking about it.the descriptive words allowed me to picture each scene like i was watching a movie that only i could see.
We listened to this while on a road trip and loved the suspense. Having it read by the author made for a thrilling story as he knew by heart how he wanted it all to sound. so talented to give different voices to the characters.
"Harry and the Hendersons!!!"
This was a good listen! The fear factor was really enhanced in an audible version, compared to the written word. Suspicious big foot sightings have been whispered about, folk are being maimed and an evil scientist is up to no good...I wouldn't go down to those woods today!
