Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay is a romantic, funny and pause-resisting new novel about love and friendship from Jill Mansell, best-selling author of The One You Really Want and You and Me, Always. Perfect for anyone who loves Lucy Diamond, Milly Johnson and Katie Fforde.
Love is in the air in St Carys, but you'd never know it - the people of this seaside town are very good at keeping secrets....
The man Clemency loves belongs to someone else. She has to hide her true feelings - but when she ropes in an unsuspecting friend to help, wires start to get crossed.
For the first time in Ronan's life his charm has failed him in winning over the woman he wants. Loving her from afar appears to be his only option.
Belle seems to have the perfect boyfriend, but something isn't quite right. And now a long-buried secret is slowly rising to the surface.
The truth has a funny way of revealing itself, and when it does St Carys will be a very different place indeed....

I loved the whole thing. The whole presentation is really good once you get past the first chapter. If you're not sure to start with its would be really good to carry on till you get the feel of the reader.
Great easy listening .... Some unexpected twists that keep you guessing right to the end.
"Lovely romance with interesting characters"
A lovely story with a good narrator makes this an easy book to listen to. Enough twists in the story to stop it being predictable.
"love love loved it!"
Fantastic story. couldnt put it down! Cant wait for the next one. still smiling now!
"predictable but lovable"
I enjoyed the lovely story and characters but a tad predictable and frustratingly drawn out
"Nice story poor narration"
This is an exactly what you would expect rom com. Fairly predictable but pleasant to relax to. Spoilt somewhat by the narrator's limited range for character voices. Male characters sounded too similar and had no depth.
Lovely story, easy to listen to. Well recommended.. Romance, fun and sibling rivalry, great characters and well read
"Brilliantly narrated, feel-good fun"
Imogen Church provides a fully theatrical performance of this lovely story. Her voices for the step-sisters are brilliantly developed to capture their contrasting personalities, but sympathetic to the listener's changing emotional relationship with these lead characters. Imogen's male voices were great too (especially the 'dude' and the romantic hero ... how does she do that?).
I really enjoyed being stuck in the traffic jam on my way to work, wrapped up in the going's on at Beachcomber Bay. I'm sad to leave this little community behind!
Jill at her story telling best. No fabulous twisty plot just a most enjoyable easy listen with good pace and no padding out. Good characters with interesting backgrounds brought together in the mixing bowl to create a story which is highly recommended.
"Loved every minute of it"
Normally when I start reading/listening to a book I can usually predict the outcome after a few chapters. Not this one. It was brilliant. One of the best books I have ever listened to. The narrator was fab and got the accents off to a t. Didn't know how the story was going to pan out. Definitely worth a listen/read. 5*
