Story
Cutthroat Comancheros, wandering banditos, the Mexican Army, the Fourth Cavalry - and Miss Vanessa Fontaine - all want Duane Braddock, who has the fastest gun in the West and much more than a price on his head. But it is the Apaches who leave him for dead in the Coahuilian Desert. Found by a ragtag outlaw band led by an ex-Confederate soldier, Braddock is brought back to the land of the living. By the time he is well enough to run, a greedy plan to seize half-a-million dollars of Army payroll is in place.

He killed before he could shoot, kissed before he could love, won before he could lose. He was too green to live, too lucky to die. He was a natural, born to be a legend. Outlaw Hell. Everyone tells Duane Braddock to stay out of Escondido. But a month alone in the desert, even with his keen Apache-trained survival skills, is a month too long. He’s just partial to trouble - and when he’s hired to bring order to the outlaw town, there’s plenty for the taking.

Editorial reviews
Len Levinson's explosive, pulpy war adventure seamlessly interweaves two narratives featuring the "rat bastards" of the Recon Platoon. The first chronicles the wild erotic exploits of soldiers LaBarbara and Butsko with the nurses at a hospital in New Caledonia, and the second takes place on the front lines of Guadalcanal as Sgt. Bannon's platoon clashes with Japanese forces.
Veteran film and TV actor Ray Porter's fearless performance confidently shifts gears between the hard-hitting realism of the battlefield and the bawdy, sexually charged antics of LaBarbara and Butsko. Think The Dirty Dozen reimagined as a raunchy late-night cable movie.
Publisher's summary
Hell’s Choir of Killers!
The quiet of the jungle is shattered by a single command. The air fills with voices of death. A Texas cattle call. An Apache war whoop. A piercing scream of bloody blue murder. And a killing chorus of zinging hot lead. A mighty green wave surges up the hill. The Rat Bastards are on the rampage, and what the enemy began, they are about to finish.... The Rat Bastards.

The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

Story
When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Story
Renowned as much for her wit and satirical social commentary as for her stories of love and romance, Jane Austen remains unfailingly relevant and one of Britain’s best loved authors. In this Audible Original collection, an all-star list of narrators (Billie Piper, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson, Florence Pugh and Gugu Mbatha-Raw) capture Austen’s pin-sharp humour and tone in these dramatisations of her six beloved novels accompanied by a full cast.

Ends Mid-Sentence?!
I love this series - You cannot go wrong with Len Levinson. He is fantastic at making you feel like you are there in the middle of the action. Ray Porter does an amazing job narrating this series; he is great with the various voices. My only complaint and why it’s not 5-stars across the board is a production issue. The story ends mid-sentence. I have no idea how the story ends. I’m going to track down one of the paperbacks to see what happened.
