Clever short story

This was an entertaining supernatural thriller - a good hour + time spent while driving

Odd ending

This is the second short story follow-up to Patient Zero. This story isn't directly related to Patient Zero other than it involves the DMS's Echo Team. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars as I felt the ending was a bit out of character from what I expected in this series. That being said, it's still a great story with an epic battle sequence.

Another excellent story from Jonathan Maberry

Every aspect of this book was top notch! Taking no credit from Maberry's brilliant authoring, Ray Porter really brings the story to life and immerses the reader with a sense of reality when he performs.
In this short, everything moves at a quick pace, as expected.
John Ledger and the DMS go looking. Their find is "unexpected" to say the least. Listening to this story, the strange and very concerning events which transpire will demand your attention and keep you a bit on edge to the very end.

Great book. Too bad it wasn't longer.

I want more. This book is typical Joe Ledger and really leaves you wanting more.

it caught my attention

it started off confusing for me as I didn't know what was really going on but quickly explained and the ending was a great hook. I am looking forward to the main event !

Check lengths.

Maberry's books are exciting. Love them. Porter is a top notch narrator. However, resent using credits for 45minute prequel/sequel.

The Maberryverse tied together

Ever wonder what a meeting between Joe Ledger and Malcom Crowe would be like? Here is the answer. If you are a fan of the DMS and the little town dipped in darkness this is a treat. My only remaining question is how does Pine Deep fair in the wake of Lucifer 113?

Twilight Zone for the 21st Century

This was a great little story. Fast pace with a twist at the end. Worth a quick read.

Fantastic story as in fantasy

Ray Porter is a brilliant narrator. He brings these tough characters to life. Don’t miss this and other Pine stories
