Yes. As it was an excellent story about a playboy falling in love. We girls all have the fantasy of turning a bad boy good with our love.
I liked the family dynamics and shows how family issues do play a major part in who you are.
There were a lot of characters and she gave great personality to them all.
You can't run from love.
I enjoyed the strength in character of the leading lady and the sharp contrast to the mothers character.
The sudden change in Morgan's character- I realize this is unreal- but it was a good listen.
Her voice is easy to listen to.
Love on the Run, awesome! Loved it! I love this author and pretty much everything she writes ( under her given and alternate name)! To be honest, this was a re-read for me, since I'm reading the third installment of this series.
Say something about yourself!
I just finished this AWESOME can't put it down page turner. I hope this is the first of many to come about the Morgan Men. I love it. Now I'm ready to read all of the books by Zuri Day. You've got a new fan in me Ms. Day!!!
I love zuri's writing style. I never came across a book she wrote. That I have not liked. I finished this book in one sitting. Omg. I dont know who was worse the mom, or the ex boyfriend. Sometimes you have to love family from afar. Craziness.
I haven't. Came across anything like this one yet.
Im not sure I have become use to her she has done so many books that im use to her
When she found out about her dad, I think I would have stop talking to my mother after that. 25 yrs. Of lies on top of lies.
The experience was so enjoyable because the narrator made the characters come to life. Zuri Day is a very vivid and wonderful writer. I hope that Audible will soon have all of her titles available because she is amazing!
My favorite characters were Michael and Shayna. Michael because as soon as he realized that love bit him, he did what was necessary to gain the trust of his woman. Shayna because she had so much dedication to her mother although at times she didn't deserve it. The past story of her mother was very heart wrenching. Her dedication to her best friend turned boyfriend turned ex-boyfriend/stalker was believable and it showed just how much love, warmth, and compassion she possessed.
I have enjoyed Shari's performances in whatever book I read. She makes sure to inflect emotions in her readings and seems to work hard to not be monotone. She is a great narrator!
Parts of this book made me laugh especially the scenes between Shayna and her besties. Other parts made me feel sort of sad. Those scenes was when Shayna spoke of her deep need for a deeper connection with her mother; her misunderstanding of their complicated relationship; as well as her self-doubt and self-worth. This book brought home the fact that little girls need a deep bond with both of their parents (if it's possible)
This was another great read by a wonderful author-Zuri Day. I really wish that Audible will add her other titles to the library in the near future.
