Publisher's summary

At last, the rest of the story that began in Love Unscripted.

There is no rehearsal for true love.

When A-list movie star Ryan Christensen ducked into her pub to escape his screaming fans, never in a million years did Taryn Mitchell think her life was about to change forever. But now, eight months later, after a whirlwind romance, Taryn wakes up in Ryan’s Hollywood hotel room to find a diamond to die for on her left ring finger - and her face splashed across the cover of every gossip magazine.

Ryan’s very public proposal is catnip to the tabloids, his management team is worried, and Taryn must figure out how a small town girl like her fits into his glittering world. What does it take to make a relationship work amidst telephoto lenses, daily on-set temptations, and jealous fans who will stop at nothing to keep you from walking down the aisle with the man of your dreams?

With no script to follow and no chance for a dress rehearsal, Taryn and Ryan will be forced to take the plunge into real life and risk everything to make their love last.

Sweet, low-key sequel

I waited a few months before picking up this second book in the series, hoping for a break from the endless harping about the paparazzi which clogs up the first book. Now I can happily report the paparazzi harping is much more proportional to the plot this time around!

And I’m laughing at myself as I type that because in spite of that I still enjoy these books. The story picks up right where we left off with Taryn, Ryan and the gang. No big missing gaps of time or anything. This book might have been a touch less absorbing than the first but that’s just me splitting hairs. Maybe it’s more that Taryn and Ryan are gaining a bit more emotional stability, so it felt safe to put down the headphones without worrying that they’d fall to pieces if left untended! Overall there was less urgency in this book, both between the main characters and in the plot. I preferred the urgency in the first book and the reduced paparazzi harping in this one.

The secondary characters got a lot of air time which added a lot to the storyline. In fact, I’ve heard a rumor that the next book in the series is going to switch around some of the main and secondary characters, and after liking several of them so much in this book that sounds like a great idea! It’s going to be called Love Unguarded, which makes the rumor that Mike will be one of the characters in the spotlight (sorry, couldn’t resist the pun!) sound even more likely. No set date yet, but from what I’ve heard it won’t be out until sometime in 2014.

Anyway, if you liked the first book there’s a good chance you’ll like this one too. These books aren’t deep and they’re not going to change your world, but they’re a good fit when you’re in the mood for a sweet, sappy, easy romance. Nothing fast-moving, no nail-biting, just slow, easy sap with a slightly different backdrop. And a great narrator! So if you were on the fence about liking the first book and were hoping for a big sweeping change… Nope, this book’s not for you.

Another Wow

This is the second book and again I loved it. Ryan and Taryn's journey is yes; a journey. It
had everything joy, grief heartache, love, betrayal, jealously and loyalty. Again Madeleine Maby did a fantastic job with the narration. Following the lives of the other characters and all the shit that follows Ryan around OMG is this it is like? This is a great romantic and stress filled story but well worth the read or listen great happy ending..

Loved it

Would you listen to Love Unrehearsed again? Why?

Yes, and I have. Love Ryan and Taryn's story. The dialogue is so realistic.

What other book might you compare Love Unrehearsed to and why?

Similar to Love in the Afternoon, but much better character development.

What about Madeleine Maby’s performance did you like?

She did great switching between characters. Great pacing.

If you could take any character from Love Unrehearsed out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Hands down...Ryan.

GOOD, BUT WITH MORE DETAILS WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT

Book 1 was a romance lover's dream book with such an epic tender and touching love affair between Ryan and Taryn and in this one you also have Mike and Marie's romance too - then what's not to love in book 2 you ask? Well, I thought it just wasn't quite as dramatic or romantic as the 1st brilliant book and it's not what it says in this second story but what it leaves out that's the problem.

Certain things seemed to be skimmed over, just touched on or seemed very rushed like the wedding, the house and, without giving away the ending, everything else after that. It could have gone into much more detail about each of these things which would have given the listener a fuller picture and hence a more pleasurable listening experience.

Worth a credit? In my humble opinion it was, unfortunately, a little bit disappointing but still very worthy of a credit so it's a YES.

OK! YES YES YES!!!!

This is what I am talking about! When u do a second book... this is how u do it!!! YES!!! Great! Picks up right where the first book left off. Tarren, however has faith in her relationship and her man!!! LOVE IT!!! We all know I loved the first book, and I loved this one too.

I absolutely love how realistic these books are. In this book, we see how Tarren's friends are having girl fights, back stabbing , divorce and all kinds of stuff...sooo reall!!! But what really got me was Ryan! Wow...did his character come out of his shell!!! OMG!!! He was already such a well defined character fromt the first book, and then in this one he just blossomed even more.. Sooo emotional. I must have listen to this like 6 times already. Sooo good. Plus we see old enemies again, because Ryan is of course a movie star! So good.

Maby never disappoints!

Solid Romance

Good follow-up to "Love Unscripted" that continues the story of Taryn and Ryan. The narrator is excellent and the story unfolds as expected. My only problem with this book is that the final chapters seem very rushed. Most of the story is told in detail and it disappointingly finishes too quickly. It felt as though the author had a deadline to meet and was racing to completion. It is still well worth a credit.

Hollywood Love

I loved this series. I'd had the series recommended several times, even by Tina Reber herself.

I finally got the opportunity to give it a listen and I should have done so sooner. If there was ever a chance to meet a Hollywood elite, I'd hope that real life would mimic this series.

Love unrehearsed

This book was good. It had some twists and turns. But in the end love saved the day.
