Publisher's summary

At last, the rest of the story that began in Love Unscripted.

There is no rehearsal for true love.

When A-list movie star Ryan Christensen ducked into her pub to escape his screaming fans, never in a million years did Taryn Mitchell think her life was about to change forever. But now, eight months later, after a whirlwind romance, Taryn wakes up in Ryan’s Hollywood hotel room to find a diamond to die for on her left ring finger - and her face splashed across the cover of every gossip magazine.

Ryan’s very public proposal is catnip to the tabloids, his management team is worried, and Taryn must figure out how a small town girl like her fits into his glittering world. What does it take to make a relationship work amidst telephoto lenses, daily on-set temptations, and jealous fans who will stop at nothing to keep you from walking down the aisle with the man of your dreams?

With no script to follow and no chance for a dress rehearsal, Taryn and Ryan will be forced to take the plunge into real life and risk everything to make their love last.

Seems rushed....

Would you try another book from Tina Reber and/or Madeleine Maby?

When I read the first book Love Unscripted I couldn't wait for the follow up... I have to say I was more than a little disappointed with this one. I get the feeling that she was rushed for a deadline or something. It started off strong, but then fell flat.

Has Love Unrehearsed turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not at all, I love my Chic lit...

Which scene was your favorite?

I would have to say that the sex in Paris was quite nice....

What would have made this romance irresistible?

I dont know... I like the idea of the conflict in this being thrilling, but it really didn't do it for me.

Any additional comments?

A little less about all the ins and outs of filmmaking and more Ryan and Taryn

I'm trying..I just CAN'T give it more than 2 ★★

IDK. This story could possibly work as a holdover if you're into sugary-sweet "aww shucks" romances. They're okay with me...not my norm - I prefer darker and/or reverse harem-ish romances - but I've been doing sweet famous actor /girl-next-door romances lately.

But this story...

(1) So much of it is just a mundane checklist of their daily lives. At first, I thought Tina Reber kept inserting all the minute details of their days to get us comfortable with the characters... y'know... make them more likeable? But that never happened. There just wasn't a point to it. And I became bored enough to skip past the parts that sounded like someone was about to drone on for hours about installing a door or going to the grocery store or something.

There was a LOT of skipping.

(2) The supporting characters aren't likeable. One BFF is moody, snobby, and doesn't seem to like either main character at all. The other BFF is a bully, and generally bends the LFC's will to meet her own interests.

(3) One of the BFFs' love life begins to take up much of the story, particularly in the 2nd installment. It's like a separate book within this book. Since I don't even LIKE this character, I have no interest in her romances, but am forced to listen to what feels like hours of it.

Madeleine Maby does a great job differentiating between the myriad of male and female voices without forcing out different pitches.

All in all, it's okay if you're in-between books and you're okay with sorta boring. (Sometimes, boring works because your brain needs a rest from the grittier stuff.)

If you're looking for a heavier version of this, check out the Bad Things/Tristan & Danika series. It's in my Top 5 "must reads", and I find myself returning to it when other stories disappoint me often (hence the reason I'm re-downloading it now).

AWFUL beyond belief!

I rarely take the time to write reviews - and I should as I do rely upon them when making purchase selections. But this one is so bad I am compelled to write about it. No matter how weak a book is, I almost always listen to it to the end just because I have nothing better to do during my commute. This one I am just less than half way thru and can't stomach another minute.

There is absolutely no plot to this book. It is one sex scene right after another with no action in between. The only thing in this book besides sex is the continual whining of the two lead characters because of papparazzi and over zealous fans.

The narrator does an OK job, but she has nothing to work with. I am not a prude and don't object to sex scenes. But when a book has nothing to it but sex and whining it does not make for an enjoyable experience.

Save your credit for something worth listening to. This one is NOT it!

So many cliches packed into one story

I'm almost never compelled to write negative reviews, but this book seriously annoyed me. I'm not a book snob. I like predictable fluffy romance novels. But this one started feeling painful as the story dragged on. I could not stop rolling my eyes at the endless cliches about men, women, and relationships. From the corny spent the first date taking turns having diarrhea in the bathroom but we still like each other scene, to her barfing & he's suuuuch a good caretaker, to him being great with babies, to her being stupidly jealous over very obvious misunderstandings...on and on. It's like a teenager's idea of how love blooms, not written from the perspective of someone who's actually ever been in a relationship. The dialogue between the characters is so banal.

I gave it two stars instead of one because it did change my perspective on celebrities. It never really occurred to me just how hard it must be to have your life under constant scrutiny. I appreciated that insight.

In the end, the joke's on me. I still bought the 2nd book in this series, hoping a sophomore effort would be a little better. So, so wrong. Sigh.

Daydream?Yes? Credit worthy? No.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would edit book one and two into one book. This story could have been great, however to me this is unedited fan fiction which could have been one page turner. I love the story idea: Girl not into stars meets one. They fall for each other and book two is set into a situation where they have been involved for a long time. The stallet from book le Indonesia. Book two is focused on how they have to work in order staying together. Book one was not better written than this, but it had more moments of "What if this happen" suspense. Making book one imopossible to finish. This book however was at time very hard to focus on. Nothing made me jump. As I said, I love both books idea of a plot.

Would you ever listen to anything by Tina Reber again?

Hollywood stars does not interest me, neither now or before I heard this book. What interest me is relations between two people.

Which character – as performed by Madeleine Maby – was your favorite?

Well, the author is a female fiction writer. Unless you see this as a dating guide, which I hope you don't. The author archive her goal: Writing fiction.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Nothing was wrong. Maby was avarage.

Love Unrehearsed

I got through it...Love Unscripted was not a book I could rave about.
For me this author is just a little long in the telling of the story. The narrations was very good. I love a big story well written. I want to like these books. It was ok and evidently alot of people really enjoyed it.

Just drags on

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone that has nothing else to read or do.

What could Tina Reber have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

She made Terrene seem just as strong as Ryan but she was not and this made the store boring.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Not really just can't seem to listen to it even when I am bored out of my mind and its not the narrator its the story line.
