Good

So nice to listen to a novel that has no profanity in it. Very refreshing.

Great book

The book is great, the narrator has a good voice and I like her different voices for all the characters but it drives me nuts to hear her constantly lick her lips and swallow.

Wet reading, but good story

The reader seems to drink into the mic a lot, or just has a very wet mouth, but the story is a classic.

Great story! Some sound issues.

Great story and very good reading. Two issues I had were that the listener can hear the reader swallow and make noises with her lips. I would see this as a technical issue, and not a performance issue. These noises should have been edited out. It also seems at times as though the sound level varies, almost like the effect of a text notification interrupting a phone call. Also a technical issue, in my opinion. Overall, still an enjoyable book.

great story, rough narration

beautiful story of loss and learning to love, but OH MY, is that narrator hard to listen to. she sounds like a very heavy, groveling voice who smokes a pack of cigarettes a day, and sits so close to the mic you can hear every swallow and tongue movement.

Love Comes Softly

I so enjoyed the story!! Janette Oke does such a marvelous job knitting words together to create a loving tale. Her words draw me in as if I'm there. I do enjoy the person reading the story yet the background sounds make me a little uncomfortable. Maybe they shouldn't,-- yet hearing her swallow and even her stomach growl just seems kind of awkward. I think it's more of a tech issue.

One of my favorites

I’ve read the entire series a long time ago. The story is great just had a hard time with the narration there were times I could hear her smacking and gulping. The over all story I love but due to the narration I was unsure if I could listen all the way through.
