From New York Times bestseller Alessandra Torre....

Chloe Madison. That's me. A former NYU princess who just fell from grace, right off my pampered Manhattan throne and onto the unforgiving steps of Nicole Brantley, socialite and queen bitch. Now, I walk her dog and mix her smoothies. Try to navigate my own problems while fixing all of hers. I want what every New York girl wants. A career, an apartment, and true love, preferably in a smoking hot package. It turns out I'll have to fight for all of it.

Chloe grew up in a life of luxury, spoiled socialite, rich and without a care in the world. It isn't until she's evicted from her cushy apartment by the FBI after her parents are arrested for insider trading.

I loved this book. It's well-written, addictive, and extremely steamy at times. It follows Chloe as she tries to live on her own two feet in NYC, juggling a new job, friends, and men. I felt like I was curled up with my popcorn watching an engaging drama one minute and then fanning myself during the delicious romps she describes, past and present.

Alessandra Torre yet again delights the reader with her words and her way of weaving a story, this time with a lighter spin on romance. Sprinkled with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, Chloe's story of finding a new side to her lovable Manhattan and of herself easily becomes an unforgettable reading experience.

In Love with this Story

It all seemed to be a little bit disjointed. I was confused about who the hero was supposed to be until well past the midway point. This is normally fine in a book if it is part of the angst, but it wasn't. I couldn't connect to any of the male characters, because I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and figure out what the twist, plot, or even story line was for these characters, but nothing ever happened. By the time I was sure who the love interest was we were supposed to be rooting for, nothing really happened and it was kind of...."an ohhhh....that's it?" moment for me towards the end of the book. Also, the heroine was one of the weakest people I've read in any story, supposedly not being able to resist her ex if he was within 2 feet. It got old in a hurry. He was supposed to be this awful cheater of a person, but we never saw any negative of him other than her ramblings of his past mistakes and I just ended up feeling bad for him in the end and just not liking the heroine at all.
The upsides were that Alessandra's writing is always well done even though this book just wasn't for me, and the narration was decent. The volume levels of the narrators voice was an issue though, so the audio production definitely could've been better.
I love Alessandra's books, so I'm hoping this book was just a blip and it just wasn't for me, but I'll absolutely be one-clicking her next one.

Not my favorite novel from this author.

This story would make the perfect movie. This seems to be the way that Alessandra Torre writes and I love it. Loved Hollywood Dirt also.
Fabulous narration.
