This one was little slow.

This one was a little slow for me and I found that the mind was wondering while listening to it. I hope that this is not an indication that the series is going down hill..

Good story

I enjoyed this story. Morganville is basically at war with itself. Good thing they have Clair.

Fairly clean. There’s a few bad words and some heavy make out sessions.

so much better than any vampire series out there.

I'm 49 years old and find most vampire series very tween oriented... but I'm hooked. Can't wait to find out what happens next!!

Solid sequel...

I am enjoying this series! This is BOOK FIVE in the series; Audible does not currently have books 2-4, so I read them (paperbacks), before downloading this one. This is a very solid sequel and great continuation of the story - as I finished each book in the series, I couldn't wait to go on and find out what would happen next. These are listed as YA, and they are, but I am mid-30's and have enjoyed the plot and story very much. :) If you like vampire stories, give Glass House a try!

Book 5: Lord of Misrule

Morganville, home to Texas Prairie University, is a place where vampires and humans have coexisted within rules set forth by its founder.

That all changes when Bishop comes into town. He is a master manipulative ancient vampire. His goal is to conquer and destroy.

And, if that wasn't enough, tornadoes land and tear apart the town too.

Sixteen-year-old Claire Danvers along with her housemates, Eve, Shane, and newly turned vampire Michael, take up arms to defend Morganville.

During the chaos, the vampires begin to take off as in a trance. In the end, even Claire's mind is hijacked.

Cynthia Holloway does a great job in narrating. She brings the book to life.

Great Read... Listen...

Cynthia Holloway's voice is wonderful and the story flows so well. So much conflict! The time line is so close to the previous books that you feel like you never left Morganville.

And the Story Keeps Rolling in

What made the experience of listening to Lord of Misrule the most enjoyable?

I really enjoyed the constant twists of this installment in the series. Although there is not distinct separation between the previous novel and this one, there are many many unexpected twists.

What about Cynthia Holloway’s performance did you like?

I really enjoy her portrayal of the vampire's voices, she does a nice silky smooth yet stone cold narrative.

If you could take any character from Lord of Misrule out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Definitely Myrnin, of course while he isn't having a fit of madness.

Addictive

These YA books build on each other, so definitely read this series in order. Some of the books are cliffhangers. The characters continue to grow and develop throughout the series, and the story is a theme throughout the entirety of the series with a part of the plot coming to a conclusion (or almost so) by the end of each book. Be forewarned... these are SO addictive.
