Twenty-six-year-old Katie Macauley has placed all her hope in Hope Springs, a small town in the 1870 Wyoming Territory. But if she wants to return home to Ireland to make amends with her estranged family, she’ll need to convince the influential Joseph Archer to hold true to his word and keep her on his payroll as his housekeeper - despite her Irish roots. The town is caught in an ongoing feud between the “Reds” - the frontiersmen who would rather see all the Irish run out of town and the Irish immigrants who are fighting to make a home for themselves in the New World.
When Joseph agrees to keep Katie on ash is housekeeper, the feud erupts anew, and Katie becomes the reluctant figurehead for the Irish townsfolk. As the violence escalates throughout the town, Katie must choose between the two men who have been vying for her love - though only one might be able to restore hope to her heart.

I sure would. It was such a great story.
Man, there were too many. I don't know!
The Irish accents for sure!
I did tear up a bit at one part.
So far, my favorite book from this author. It is going to have a sequel that I already can't wait for. The story is definitely not over yet!!!
This is the best book I have listened to in a very long time and that is really saying something!!!! I am so glad I listened to this one, instead of reading it. Great Job Sarah Eden and Cassandra Campbell.
This book is not just a romantic story, although it has a very sweet love story involved, but it has a great overall story behind it. I loved the characters and the learning and growing they do throughout the story. I loved the Irish history, something that was new for me. I was sad when it ended and wish the author would keep the story going for longer. Maybe book 2 :) !! I loved the characters and would be interested in seeing how life plays out in their future.
The performance was incredible and I enjoyed listening to all the voices she used for each character, none were annoying!!!!! The accents were awesome!
Joseph. I want to know more of his history with his wife.
Best audio book I have listened to in a long time!!!!
it is so refreshing to listen to a novel and know that I will not be assaulted with foul language profanity or unwanted sex scenes. This would have been five stars except that the author tried so hard to get the reader to dislike the very character that the heroine ends up choosing, that it was hard to get the this reader to be glad about the ending.
I love everything about this book! It has an interesting storyline, and the narrator does an AMAZING job with the Irish accents. I did not realize it was the first in a 2-book series (unless the author is writing another one!), but I am so glad it was. With Katie having 2 love interests, who gets the girl?!?! I would have given this book 5 stars if it had been Christian fiction and had a spiritual theme. It is a very clean book, no bad language or sex scenes. I highly recommend it!
Ministry Assistant at First Baptist Church; "Read" most of my books via Audible as I drive!
Lovely story of longing , forgiveness, hope and love with bits of history woven through all.
I enjoyed this lively novel, but hate that it was only setting us up for the next in the series; it would have been nice to have at least one thing resolved in this book!
If you like a traditional romance that focuses on relationships and not sex ,then this is the book for you. The only thing I have a challenge with is the love triangle but I am hoping that all three members of the love triangle find A happy ending. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. This is the first time I have ever heard/read a book by this author. I thought the narrator was perfect.
The plot is interesting but it doesn't go any where. The book ends with nothing being resolved. The characters are all wonderful people. Too wonderful. People have a past but no real character flaws. The many descriptions are repetitive . This is a love story only.
