Publisher's summary

Deidre Clark-Morris is a faithful Christian who has everything she could dream of - except the children her heart longs for. Kenisha Smalls has lived in poverty all her life. She has three children by three different men and has just been diagnosed with inoperable cancer. While the meeting between these two women appears accidental, it becomes their catalyst of hope. Neither woman expects the blessing that God has in store for her. While Deidre guides Kenisha on the path to eternal life with Jesus Christ, Kenisha teaches Deidre how to stand strong against the storms of life.

***WARNING! THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS***I have read the print version of this book at least three times, and although the Audible version is touted to be unabridged, the end is missing from the recording! The entire hospice stay is missing! Keniesha doesn't die at the end - it ends with her speaking with the hospital chaplain! THE BEST PART OF THE STORY IS MISSING! Keniesha's attainment of salvation, and the scene with her father at the hospice! HOW can Audible do this? This is a great story that has been irrevocably destroyed. Ms.Miller must have her original story restored in the Audible version or warn buyers that the Audible version is in fact an abridged one!

A very sad story

This book was very hard to read.At the beginning it was good reading. As you get to the middle. Its about a single women with 3 kids. She is dying from cancer and needs someone to take her kids. She has a very dysfunctional family that wouldn't be able to care for them the way they need to be.It tells about the struggles she had to finally be able to rest in peace. This book would've not be a good book if you suffer with depression.

Great read

I loved this story. As I got towards the end I almost started bawling😢. I had to hold back my tears while I was listening to this book at work. Usually I like Vanessa Millers stories but they always seem so predictable to me. I must say this is one of my favorites from her. I will say this I would have have changed the epilogue...Deirdre would have had a baby girl and they named her Kenisha & they would have a BBQ and all of Kenisha's family would have came over. Jamal gets to write or even talk to his dad in prison....what do the kids call them now... I wanted more from the epilogue:)

Must read

I cried my eyeballs out three hours into listening! It was a realistic story. My only gripe is pushing religion on folks.

Perfection

This wonderful story found me at the perfect time. I have always known whom my savior is and how much I’m loved. However, my service To the Most High has undergone a recent reinvigorating journey. This story reminds me that being a lukewarm servant isn’t good enough. Such a wonderful delivery from the narrator as well. You won’t regret this listen. ❤️❤️
