Memorable story

I enjoyed this story from the start. The characters were interesting and believable. I was captivated by the elephant knowledge that was shared throughout the story. The ending was a surprise and had me guessing all the way. I’m so glad I listened to this book.

what a beautiful novel about love and loss and searching to find what it is we are all looking for. I loved the detail of science- what a beautiful tribute to the study of elephants and commitment to their survival.

educational and fun

Very cute story that tugs at your Heartstrings! I also learned a ton about elephants, which I really enjoyed exclamation point overall it was a pretty good book

This book wins my “Best Book Award”!

I am listening to “Leaving Time” for the third time. I rarely listen to a book more than once, but I recommended to my son, who does not usually enjoy fiction., and can usually guess the mystery. I told him he would not be able to guess the ending in this book. I decided to listen to it again and am enjoying it even more the third time. I’m able to get even more details. My all time favourite is Wuthering Heights, so my bar is high!!! I love the intricacies of the story, the details, but nothing extra put in as “filler”. It moves quickly and is very hard to put down, even the third time through. I also recommended it to my daughter, who loved it. I knew from the first few words of the book that she and I would love it because of the descriptions of elephants. When the #Audible1 contest was announced, I decided this was the book I would review. The narrators are wonderful! Each one so perfect for their roles. I am not a book critic, and don’t write well myself, but if I were, I think I would have been very proud to have written a book of this calibre. Jodi Picoult is a favourite author of mine, and I have listened to most of her books, but in my opinion, this is her best.

Great for any elephant lover

This book is great for any elephant lover. It gives lots of facts about elephants and their behavior. I couldn't really buy-in to the psychic part of things, but that's ok. I mean, it's fiction.

Amazing Twist!

I really enjoyed this book. I had never heard of the author before, but I was willing to give it a go based on all the positive reviews. I'm honestly really glad that I did. It was an enormously interesting book and for once, I actually did not see the twist at the very end coming. Not going to give anything away, but wow. Fantastic listen - I really liked the narrator too. Amazing book!

Good listen and surprising yet sad

Enjoyable to listen to yet the real world issues of the elephants is heart breaking. Never saw the end coming !

Fantastic!!

what an amazing book. Beautifully written and narrated. I had gotten close to the ending and had already guessed how it would end, when suddenly the story changed so unexpectedly that I stopped and sat for a few minutes just trying to make sense of it. BRILLIANT!!! I enjoyed this book and learned alot about elephants.
