English major. Love to read
I too was looking for a comfortable book and this hit the spot. McMurtry's characters are so well developed, I felt bereft when the book ended - as if I had known them for years. The story is very simple but not without its own wisdom. Loved it.
I was looking for a good work of fiction to listen to and feel refreshed, and Leaving Cheyenne was perfect. The narration is spot on, and the story is introspective, charming, and honest. This is one of those novels that you hate to hear end, and I found it hard to stop listening.
Say something about yourself!
I loved the Narration. Very griping emotions..
Such a sad ending.. Get this book..
I really liked this book. It really reminded me of my father and made me not want to waste any time on people who don't really care about you.

This is one of favorite books, I have read it ,3 times and was happy to find it avalible on audible. I shared it withy husband on a recent road trip, he loved it too. It is a great story, romance and historical americana novel. I ISIMPLY LOVE IT.
I thought it started out a little slow but after a while you get to know your characters and you don't want to put it down. By the end it had me and the story was fun and interesting.
I would very much recommend this book for an easy, entertaining story.
The three different narrators did a great job especially the last one who had the whole Texas drawl and lingo down. He must be from there for sure,
