Irving at his best

terrific cast of characters, well weaved story, I know when a book is good if I feel a pang of sadness at the end, not because of the emotion of the story but because I will miss the people

Great book

I really enjoyed this novel, plot and narration as well. It was very in-depth but left me with a good feeling at the end.

Never disappointed

I have never been disappointed in any John Irving work, and this was no exception.

Masterfully woven story

A usual, John Irving creats a cast of characters you just can't help but yearn to learn more about. His expert story telling shines once again in this novel. A must read for any Irving fan and for those who enjoy character driven stories.

Wonderful

As usual, Irving is an incredible storyteller. I've been a fan and will remain a fan. He is an incredible author. Morey tells the tale very well.

Classic Irving...better narrator, please!

This is classic John Irving, better than Until I Find You. The narrator was poor with little attempt (or ability) to give voices to different characters. I'm surprised Audible didn't even list this as a new release, much less a featured new release. I found it by searching John Irving as an author.

A good long ramble

While I wouldn't rate this as one of Irving's best books, it's a good, long book that keeps your attention throughout. The reader is excellent, the locales interesting, and storyline well thoughtout.
