    "Restoration Series"
If you could sum up Last Light in three words, what would they be?

    Thought provoking, exciting and suspenseful.

What did you like best about this story?

I have never read a book by Terri Blackstock that I did not thoroughly enjoy and the Restoration Series was better than any of the others. It is good clean reading, but suspenseful. I have wondered many times, since reading these books, what I would do if it actually happened. Makes you think.

    Story
"Rare to find good Christian -sci fi!"

Books like that make me feel good about being an actual Christian!

It's not so simple for most of us to be Christians especially in hard times. the characters reflect what happens when the Bible has to be applied in real life situations especially when your own survival is at stake.

Christians also experience shame, pride, and fear. We're trying to live our lives as Christ would. The Branning family in this book struggled with this and it made me glad to know I'm not alone.

The author is a true novelist and makes the book humorous, amorous and a blessing to those who read it.

    I love the series!

    Story
"Dick Hill is the best reader Ihave EVER heard .WOW"
Would you listen to Last Light again? Why?

wellwritten, good character development.. and Dick Hill as reader brings everyone TO LIFE!

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

All of the personalities ! I dont know how he keeps them all straight. He is amazingly talented.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

What if it all came grinding to a halt??

    Story
"Worst audio book that I have ever listened to"
Would you try another book from Terri Blackstock and/or Dick Hill?

The plot is very amaterish. I could not relate to or care about any of the characters. There were few surprises. I hated the narration.

What was most disappointing about Terri Blackstock’s story?

The story lacked any sophistication or suspense.

Would you be willing to try another one of Dick Hill’s performances?

Maybe if he didn't try any women's voices.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None. It is singular in that I stopped listening which I have never done before.

    "Interesting,"
If you could sum up Last Light in three words, what would they be?

    Thought provoking

Who was your favorite character and why?

Doug- we know the prinicples of scripture, are we failthfully appling them?

If you could take any character from Last Light out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Brandon parents- After the story,How could they have raised the children with great spiritual insight and growth before the event- so the events themselves would have been a little easier? Food for thought.

    Any additional comments?

Pointed out ideas that could happen in a disaster- I should be more prepared just incase something happens, that way I could be a better servent of Christ, a blessing to my family and friends.

"Make sure you listen before buying"

The book is OK. Not may favorite, but I have enjoyed it. The narrator is by far the most annoying and whiny one I have come in contact with. His reading is very distracting! Even if this was my favorite book, I would dread hearing this man read..

    "A decent story"

This, the first in a four part series dealing with EMP-like effects of pulses from an exploding star, is the best one. The characters are far less than perfect, and the suspense level is fairly well done. The outcome is predictable and the preaching is a bit heavy-handed. I recommend reading this one, maybe the next one, but would most likely avoid the third and fourth ones in this series.

    "Thought Provoking"

I really enjoyed this book. I have spent much time thinking about the premise since listening to it. I keep wondering how I would cope with the sudden loss of all "conveniences". I think we all need to be reminded sometimes of the need to remember what's really important. The main character was pretty annoying, but I liked the book, anyway. I'll probably read more by this author.

    "Waste of time"

The technolgical basis of this book is so unsound as to undermine the entire foundation of the plot. The narrator's voice characterizations give it the whiney feel when attempting to convey the dialogue of the young people. I could only finish this audio book by listening when I had no other alternatives such as XM radio or another audio book. I feel this was the worst book I purchased since I joined in 2001.
