i really enjoy the writing style. multiple perspectives from the main characters creates depth. the story line is captivating with twists and turns.
on the down side the author seems to take bits from his previous works.
Avid reader (listener). I work in dog rescue in Arkansas, am married and am 62 years old.
This was a very good story and once it is over, you realize that sometimes you think you know the facts when you actually do not. I think it gave me something to think about.
I believe Kane would have been my favorite character. I won't say why, you will find out at the end of the book.
Epic Saga of Rags to Riches
This may be considered to be a SPOILER ALERT: I was a little let down at the end of this book because so much treachery had gone on between Kane and Abel for their entire lives ... seemed like such a waste of the time and talent of two very successful men ... money does not bring happiness ... at least it didn't here.
One of the best audio books I have listened to. Really good performance and the story has got a truly classic feel to it. Would definitely recommend it.
The story. A bit predictable for Archer, but I chose him because I like his story telling.
Kate, Kane's wife. Accomplished, wise, steadfast, loving, respectful of her husband's wishes, but willing to circumvent them when he was clearly wrong.
Whoever read the Clifton Chronicles.
Success, family, love, happiness all succumb to hatred and desire for revenge.
Looking forward to reading the Prodigal Daughter. Jeffery Archer does not disappoint. Having also read his latest novels you can see his development as an outstanding writer over the years. Love how he develops characters.
