    "Good story"

I liked the story. It jumped back and forth between two men's lives, separately and connected. I did not like the reader. He sounds like a PBS documentary. He created no emotion for any of the caricatures. A shame.

    "A Must Read."

I feel as if Jeffery Archer is a personal friend. I adore everything he writes and this story is worthy of his praises. The sign of a true master is the ability to write compelling stories to keep your fans coming back time after time. I read the Clifton Chronicles and was amazed with the depth of talent I had discovered . I tell everyone to listen to these stories because I know they will be as entertained as I. You will not be disappointed by this author or the performance in anyway.

    "Another triumph for Jeffrey Archer"

So throughly enjoyed listening to this book. I found myself getting so involved with the characters and the plot that I hated to see it end. I love historical fiction as the reader can see history unfold in the brilliant storyline by Jeffrey Archer.

    "Good not great"

When you read a novel of two people's entire life you should feel more familiar. I can see where a person would love Mr. Archer's work. Personally I was on the cusp of discarding this book a couple times. There are too many books out there to recommend this one but it's not a total waste of time.

    "Kane and Abel Reveiw"

Riveting Jason Culp did an excellent job, he never lost me during the whole book. I already love the author Jeffrey Archer from listening to The Clifton Chronicles and was anxious at first with Jason but he had me within a few sentences, extremely good job.

    "Good, Old-Fashioned Family Feud"

Great narrator. I don't know if I had read this that I would have myself invested the same depth to these characters as Jason Culp (although I think the Boston/Kennedy-esque accent for the Kane men was slightly overdone); I think I enjoyed listening to this book the more for that reason. There is a bit too much narration at times for me in Archer's books, but I keep coming back to them anyway, so it can't be that putting me off much. Will read or listen to the sequel, The Prodigal Daughter, just not yet.

Archer "gets" the American way of things and that gives a very authentic feel to the story.

    "Enjoyed the story very much."

Took a while to get into it, mainly because the narrator sounded so bored and monotone as he was reading. Once you could put the narrator aside the story was as good as I expected after reading the Clifton Chronicles.
