Publisher's Summary

What happens in Vegas....

Will Tawera doesn't do commitment, except on the rugby field. Moving to Las Vegas to become a kicker for the NFL would be a big change from New Zealand rugby, but then, he's ready for a change. And when he's asked to do a little modeling on the side? Thousands of dollars to hold a beautiful blonde while looking dark, dangerous, tattooed, and Maori? He could do that.

Faith Goodwin doesn't do dark, dangerous men. Especially not when they make her laugh, take her miniature golfing with four-year-olds, and are far too sexy and sweet for comfort. But when Will finds himself in hot water back in New Zealand, who's he going to call? And who would be able to resist answering?

    "Make time for this!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Just in Time to be better than the print version?

I would say that the audio edition is better than the print because of Claire Bocking. I have listened to other audio narrators and can say she is my favorite! She is able to capture many different characters, both male and female, and make them believeable. She has spoiled me for audio books!

What did you like best about this story?

As with all of the Escape to New Zealand series books, it's the characters. Will is a wonderful character and so is Kate. I love their story, and that there's a story within a story!

    Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene is when Kate goes to New Zealand and is staying with his family. I love the interactions she has with his family, especially his mom, who isn't her biggest fan. I love the way their relationship blossoms.

Who was the most memorable character of Just in Time and why?

I would say both Will and Kate. They each aren't looking for commitment, but fall for each other. They make each other better versions of their selves.

    Any additional comments?

I bought the Kindle version of this book and was given a free copy of the audio book to listen to and give my honest opinion. It's great and would love hearing Claire Bocking read a grocery list. I would definitely recommend this book!

"Shame on Rosalind for 50 Shades of NZed"

The Escape to New Zealand books have been my favorite series of all time, for any author. They are well written with compelling, well-developed characters exploring real emotions and growing into better people for the struggle. Now Rosalind is screwing with a great franchise by jumping on the BDSM bandwagon.

I was disappointed when, in Just Once More, Koti tied up Kate. It was totally not necessary to the story and was not consistent with my perception of the type of man Koti is. Okay, so I don't expect my friends to get off on dominating or being dominated -- but I think of Koti as a man who has learned to be happy inside his own skin without having to get over on a woman for thrills.

But this book, Just in Time, is disturbing. It is a real departure from the character of characters in the previous books and has me thinking that Rosalind is a sell out to the 50 Shades fad. Her books were plenty steamy, sexy and seductive without discipline and dominance. They celebrated tenderness and romance. Now, James is suggesting to her readers that we should find a man wanting to bind a woman more sexy than a man wanting to hold a woman.

Shame on Rosalind. A really bad trend that , if it continues, will make this the last of her books that I listen to.

Claire Bocking remains the VERY BEST narrator of all time!

"Claire Bocking Knocks Out Another Rugby Romance!"
    Any additional comments?

I've read and reviewed this book twice (once as part of a set of Down Under romances and once as a stand alone) and I must say I think I enjoyed the audio version best!

Because others have reviewed the story (as I have over on Kindle), I will not do so here. Suffice to say- Rosalind James serves up Las Vegas (new for her to venture into the US for this series), New Zealand, rugby and hot hot HOT romance in an extremely satisfying way!

I absolutely adore Claire's narration (in fact, when I read the book, her voice was totally in my head!). She is able to give each and every character, whether male or female, American or New Zealander, his/her own, distinct voice with accent. Her subtle nuances with each emotion the character is feeling is remarkable.

Listening to Claire is having the book come completely alive in my head. She is absolutely one of my favorite narrators.

This book is the eighth in the series. It can be read/listened to as a stand-alone, buy why? The other books are wonderful and each has prior characters as part of the current story. It's great fun to keep up with favorites as we read/listen to the new characters. I strongly recommend reading and/or listening to these books in order. Besides, you won't go wrong and reading Rosalind's books, listening to Claire's narration are true joys!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own

    "Awesome!"

Listening to this series is like taking a mini-vacation to New Zealand, but in this case Las Vegas also. Claire Bocking's voice is becoming an old friend, soothing to the ears and playing all the roles very well.
This was one of my favorite rugby romance books by Rosalind James and then we get the added benefit of a book within a book, which was a different concept for her, but works very well. With her usual ability to create different characters and different plots it never gets boring reading or listening to this series.
I have been a fan of Rosalind's books for years now and this one that can stand alone for a first time listener. I highly recommend this series and this book for anyone that needs some New Zealand time with the hot rugby men!

"I keep falling deeper in love with NZ!"

Every time I listen to a book in this series, I fall more in love with the land, the culture, the characters, and the game of rugby.

As narrators go, it doesn't get better than Claire Bocking. And Rosalind James tops my list of all-time favorite authors.

Each time I start one of these books, I am convinced that it won't possibly be as good as the others. But I'm always pleasantly surprised. While I certainly have my favorites, I love each one of the books in this series.

Definitely worth a credit. Definitely better than reading it yourself (that Kiwi accent...sigh). Definitely will listen again and again. Get this one...don't hesitate. You won't be sorry.

    "Love this story"

This was my first audio book, and I wasn't sure how it would go. I have read the kindle version of this story so I knew how it went. Claire does a wonderful job of portaring each person very well, the only problem I had was that most of the older people came though as having a sloght South African accent.
As for the story this is one of my favorites and I was happy to let someone else "read" it for me.
For fans of the series this is a great way to pass time.

"another awesome addition to an awesome series"

Wow, Claire kicks this book out of the stadium, from the way she get's the NZ Maori accent down and the and the pronunciation of NZ place names

This book warms up in Vegas but then heats up in Geothermal Rotorua and then gets very hot

this book allows you the opportunity to visit Rotorua incase you never get the opportunity to visit this lovely New Zealand town

you are also given a treat of having 2 books in one book, and you will grow to love all the characters in both books

I can not wait for the next Audio book in the escape to New Zealand series as it is one of my favourites

"Another great book from this Audie nominated pair."
    Any additional comments?

I love this rugby romance series and this book did not disappoint. Each character has depth and past events that is effecting their present choices. Ms. James does an excellent job and holds my interest in the process. Her characters are not perfect, often conflicted and often very funny! Faith took me some time to warm to but All Black rugby player Will is one of my favorites. He works hard, makes mistakes, underestimates his value and learns how to do what he thinks is best regardless of what those around him say. Family responsibilities are his priority and even that he mishandles but recognizes his faults and rights the wrong.

This book is really two books in one. Book one is the main story of rugby player Will who, on a whim, poses for some risqué pictures (sexy but not porn) while he is in Las Vegas for a break. There he meets photography assistant Faith. She is a busy woman with 3 jobs and rent to pay. They become friends, enjoy time together then he leaves to return to New Zealand. Book 2 (or at least 1.5) is when Faith takes the pictures and starts to write fan fiction about a Kiwi billionaire to accompany the pictures that feature hunky Will. Unfortunately she forgot to tell Will. This storyline becomes a problem very late in the book, but, until then it is hot, steamy and profitable for Faith. It is also becomes another book for the author- Fierce by Rosalind James.

Will and Faith becoming friends and don't pursuing a deeper relationship until the pictures come to light to the rugby fans of NZ. Then they reconnect to help save Will's career. The All Blacks value dignity, on and off the filed. Bad press personally= bad press for the team= not playing. He tries damage control by having Faith come for a visit and that leads to romance, sex and love!

Claire Booking is brilliant. It is a long book with a lot of characters and she does their voices perfectly. Only once, when going from the main story to fan fiction, did I get lost and have to rewind to figure out why I was in Paris because I didn't catch the change in voices. She has spoiled me for other audiobooks- she is that good.

There are characters in this book from previous books, but this can easily stand alone. In fact, it is probably the best stand alone in the series.

I liked it a lot and truly appreciate the multifaceted characters. No cookie cutter, slam bam romance here. Great stories, great characters, great romance.

"Can't get enough of this Rugby Romance"
    Any additional comments?

What can I say...... I love this book! I can't say enough about Rosalind James, she never disappoints. I read this book a while back, but hearing it on audio has made me love it even more the second time around. The fabulous, Claire Bocking has done a phenomenal job narrating this book. There are many characters in this book and she manages to give each and everyone their own distinctive voice. I don't know how she does it. Great job Claire! This story was witty, fun, romantic and a little emotional. Oh, and of course, it does have a little steam added in the mix.

In "Just In Time" we follow the story of Will Tawera and Faith Goodwin. After the loss of Will's Grandfather, Will decides he needs to get out of New Zealand, so he heads to Las Vegas to try out for the NFL. This is where his troubles begin. After meeting Faith, he decides to put his good looks to use for a photo shoot Faith just happens to be working at. Only to find out that the shoot is very provocative, and eventually gets him in hot water back in New Zealand and with the All Blacks. This is where Faith decides to go to New Zealand to help will out of a mess. They decide to fake a relationship to get Will out of trouble, but their fake relationship turns into a beautiful love story.

You should read this book to see how their story ends and to see if they can get their happy ever after. You'll see why this book has become one of my favorites in this series!

"Vegas meets New Zealand and it's great listening"

Such fun listening to this book!
Here's a funny thing too - I loved reading it but I loved listening MORE!
Will's teasing is irresistible, as is his irrepressible charm, occasional awkwardness and when he stuffs up, it's even better. Plus, he does a good occasional line in dark and dangerous.
Sure, Faith has taken advantage of him, but who could blame her? Well, maybe a teeny bit. But she' s pretty great, so we forgive her.
The background double story thread can be occasionally distracting but it adds light and shade. You should be aware that steamy reading makes even steamier listening.
The narration is masterful - full of variation, expression, great accenting. How does Claire Bocking put laughter into voices? How does she make Will sound so sexy?
Vegas meets New Zealand and it makes great listening.

I received a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way or obliged to be honest.
    Luckily I loved it!
