A book in the Home Series
Ben Forman has been in the closet so long he’s convinced himself he’s actually straight. But his denial train gets derailed when hotshot lawyer Micah Trains walks into his life. Micah is brilliant, funny, and determined.... And he just assumes Ben’s gay and starts dating him. Finding himself truly happy for the first time he can remember, Ben doesn’t have the willpower to resist.
Still, life isn’t all rainbows and happily-ever-afters. Ben loves his family, but his parents have been estranged from his brother, Noah, since he came out of the closet. Ben doesn’t want to lose them, but Micah won’t be his dirty little secret forever. Suddenly Ben’s hold on his happiness and his sense of self seems to be slipping. If he’s going to survive with his heart intact, he’ll have to own up to the truth of what he wants and who he is. The trouble is figuring out just what that truth is.

LOVED, LOVED, this story. Have listened to it twice in three days. This is by far the best work offered through Audible by Cardeno C. The writing was fantastic and the narration is some of the best that I have heard. Paul Morey was phenominal. A gambit of emotions and the smile on my face actually hurt. A continuation--of sorts--from Home Again (another good book) in that the character of Ben Foreman continued on his path of growth, discovery, and acceptance. Wanted the story to continue on and on...especially with the great characters. As earlier stated, loved this story and I think I might recommend it...maybe :-)
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
Paul Morey is one awesome narrator. This is a book in th Home series and and second one I have listen to. The first one I listen too was not read by Paul; however, this story flows so much better than the last one I listen to. I like how Micah is not a push over... I really like Ben's character too. Not a wow factor book for me, but a good m/m romance.
A decent credit
Alright, I notice that some people don't seem to understand what they are getting into when they read a book from the Home series. Let's be clear: this is romantic, domestic happiness, not really about great plot or anything like that. SO, with that in mind this book was really good. Although I am not really one for closet cases, Ben's coming out is really sweet, and I was eventually able to forgive him for being such an ass to his brother because the book is from his perspective and he is really funny and self-deprecating. Honestly, I laughed out loud during many parts of this book, even when something sad was happening. After reading a bunch of sad books, little things like moving in together and building a life together were just what I needed to lift me out of my fog of sad. If you need a happy domestic pick me up, read this book. My only complaint is that Ben was so completely dumb when it came to being gay and just homosexuality in general. But that was also what made it so funny, so maybe it was a good thing.
He completes me. They are great love stories
each person has their own voice
I could not just choose one. I fell in love with them all.
Once you start reading, you will be hooked and will have to read them all.
The narrator did a great job and living inside of Ben's head is hilarious. The things he says literally make you laugh out loud. I like this one and the story about Zach and Aaron. They are truly very funny with their POVs.
Ben is very very funny and sad in the story. I do love Micah as well.
Ok, the scene at Micah's home with his mother and trying to find out if he is Jewish or circumcised or not is probably one of the funniest scenes I have ever heard!!!
Read this book, one of my favorite in the series
A first grader could narrate with more emotion. Therefore the story was unappealing.
"Law of love, lots and lots of love!"
Hearing the emotions and humour adds even more life to the characters Ben and Micah.
Watching Ben deal with personal inner conflict, excepting himself, surviving the tough times and finding his true love Micah.
I have listened to Paul Morey narrate other books, I really liked his voice changes and felt that he made a good likeness to how I imagined Ben and Micah might sound!
Micah moved me greatly throughout this book, the way he dealt with Ben's outbursts and rejection maturely, giving love and support. Whilst taking Ben's behaviour on the chin, Micah stands his ground knowing what he wants from their relationship and in spite of his love for Ben, he isn't going to settle for anything less.
Lots of laugh out loud moments, great banter between them with Micah's playfulness and Ben's embarrassing jokes! Both characters are so very likeable. I wanted them to succeed, for Ben to fight his demons and take the wonderfulness that Micah was offering him.A wonderful sexy fun love story by a wonderful writer, you will not be left disappointed!
