I usually steer clear of the "Romance" category because I am easily bored by contrived plots and too many sex scenes but this one was a winner. I enjoyed the concept of a 60 year old who was still in the game and the quirky family members who rounded out the characters were funny and rang true.
If you want to spend a leisurely afternoon without having to think too much, this one is for you.
This was a very pleasant love story with enough turmoil to keep it interesting and even a slight bit of suspense. A very nice change from mystery/thrillers that I ususally read.
The first half was hilarious: An 50+ couple against the will of their respective families. The idea was good but then the author lost it. Contrary to the original Ray does not manage to keep the story interesting. It drags very much and has a Hollywood-like ending.
Narration could have been edited a lot better.
