Great story

This is not your typical Stephen King book. It is a "coming of age story" that is not scary and only slightly supernatural. That being said, it is absolutely excellent and one of his best novels. I recommend it highly.

Excellent story. Excellent narration.

I love Stephen King's horror and supernatural tales but I always find the stories that have just a smidgen of supernatural to be far more enjoyable. This beautiful narration is my new favorite Stephen King audiobook.

Wow! Loved this story

The story is a fun classic ghost story with wonderful characters and quite a bit of sorrow. You really feel like you’re at the amusement park and want to know even more about how these characters’ lives were before and after. I haven’t been spooked by a book in awhile and this gave me the chills a few times! Lovely writing.

Dope

If you like Dead Zone, Revival or The Long Walk you'll enjoy this. 20/21 chapters are great, you'll know the one that isn't. 9/10.

Mr. King:

I love you, sir.

Nobody can make me wish and laugh and cry the way you do.

Long may you run!

As for the rest of you, please drop into this strange interlude in a young man's life and get away for a while. It's worth it!

Mr. Kelly: Thanks for a great time!

Superb storytelling

My grandmother was a storyteller and she could take life’s mundane events and weave them into a rich, multi-layered adventure. This coming of age story reminded me so much of her and the joy of storytelling. The performance is pitch perfect and a joy to listen to. I can’t believe I almost passed on this book. I laughed and cried. Loved it. Thanks for helping me remember that simple joy.

Moving Read

The writing was mature, gentle and moving, with a aide of spooky. I enjoyed the stories and had to listen them in its entirety.
