I DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU,

AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DEAD.
First, read the Publishers Summary for the list of stories. Many of these are sold separately and you may already own them. I had bought one, but still bought the collection anyways. It saves money to buy the collection, instead of one at a time. HE KNEW MY VIEW ON HESITATION, DON'T.

These stories range from good to excellent and are all about Joe Ledger. If you have not read Maberry this is a good place to start and if you have read him, you will love these even more.
The first story may be confusing, as it is more of an excerpt, then a story. Most of it is actually chapter three of Patient Zero and stops just before the best chapter in the book. One story even connects Ledger to the Pine Deep trilogy.

Ray Porter and Jonathan Maberry go together like John Scalzi and Wil Wheaton, a perfect match.

INTERESTING MONEY SAVER

The stories were interesting and flavorful.

Narration was as Perfect as always!!

PS
Despite being interesting, this anthologie doesn't give anything crucial to "Joe Ledger" Universe.

What happened during warehouse operation before "Patient Zero"?

How did Amira's final virus worked out?

What dark secrets US government have?

Whether Joe found Grace's killer?

How "Ghost" appeared in Joe's life?

So if you are dying to get answers to questions above then this book is for you,
otherwise just skip it and you won't miss it.

All Wonderful But BEWARE .... you may own them ...

If you could sum up Joe Ledger: The Missing Files in three words, what would they be?

Already Read Em.

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love Mr. Porter. Alot.

Any additional comments?

My own fault. I didn't pay close enough attention. I had already purchased the individual stories. Simply didn't realize that this was a collection of individual stories that I already HAD. What a waste of money! That being said. I love Joe Ledger. I love these little asides that help you learn about Joe and his life. I love Ray Porter's narration. I started this series thinking it was probably going to be a hokey zombie series. How wrong I was. Love the series. And will read Deep Pine next.

Joe Ledger Fans will Need This

I don't normally review anthologies of short stories. My rules are mine to break. Really the only reason that that I am is to satisfy my own curiosity, and to learn more about what drives Joe Ledger and makes him what he is today.

There really isn't a whole lot to review here. Joe ledger story short stories, full of everything you would expect from Jonathan Maberry. If you are a true and I mean true Joe Ledger fan you have already picked this title up or if you're like me you been humming and hawing and waiting for the right time. Well the time has come.

One story is a simple introduction to Joe Ledger, much of this we know already is we listened to Patient Zero, still good to hear. One story intertwines with Patient Zero and is yet separate. One story gives an introduction to my favorite literary canine, Ghost. Another twists together, what I though were parallel universes, the Pine Deep series with the DMS. And the last really gets you inside Ledger's head.

Probably the small town story, was a great one.

If you could take any character from Joe Ledger: The Missing Files out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Missing Scenes shouldn't be missed!

If you could sum up Joe Ledger: The Missing Files in three words, what would they be?

Intriguing, riveting, intense

What was one of the most memorable moments of Joe Ledger: The Missing Files?

You cannot and will not forget Joe Ledger visiting Pine Deep and running into a couple of our faves from that series. And when he finally catches up to Amirah, the scene that plays out is quite interesting.

What about Ray Porter???s performance did you like?

Ray Porter has this dry, sarcastic tone when he's voicing Ledger, yet when he voices Top and Bunny, it's completely different. He does each character justice in inflection and attitude.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a couple of scenes that had me laughing. Top asking Ledger why the old guy always had to run up and down the stairs....trust me, you have to listen.

Any additional comments?

The combination of Jonathan Maberry's writing and Ray Porter's narration combine for an awesome set of short stories. It helps if you've read at least one or two books in the Ledger series, but if I didn't know what was going on, this would certainly make me want to take a peek.

As always, Mayberry and Ray Porter rock !

What did you love best about Joe Ledger: The Missing Files?

Filled the gaps. Ghost was introduced. Always wondered how a cat person switched to a Dog. It was a bit unconventional.

What did you like best about this story?

Narration.

What about Ray Porter’s performance did you like?

The narration is really, really in-the-place thing. I felt i was living the character.

Who was the most memorable character of Joe Ledger: The Missing Files and why?

When Joe was surprised about the killer.

Any additional comments?

Keep it up Ray Porter.

Multiple Stories that tie up loose ends

What made the experience of listening to Joe Ledger: The Missing Files the most enjoyable?

I like Jonathan Maberry and his action packed and scientific based stories.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

It's multiple stories so its not a full length novel. I might have enjoyed listening to one file extended out just a bit but I understand why the book was written or at least published in the form that it was.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Ray Porter is up there with some of the best.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No maybe 3 sittings

Any additional comments?

For those of you that are wanting to tie up some loose ends in the Joe Ledger Series this book is for you, but if you did not listen to the first 3 stories prior to this book, you will be lost.

Not worth it

If you are a fan of the series, the short stories will seem, well, short.
