A great story by a great Author

Where does Jessica rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the best of I've read from this author.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jessica?

The true to life parts of the book. Though it was mostly fiction, I could relate it to real life in many ways. The story was told in a great way and was easy to follow. This one was hard to stop listening to. Highly recommended.

Which character – as performed by Humphrey Bower – was your favorite?

Jessica.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I'm not really sure to be honest.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommended book for one and all. I think adults as well as teenagers would enjoy this story. If you like Bryce Courtney's writing, then this one should definitely be on the must read / listen list.

Amazing Listen

Where does Jessica rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jessica because she never gave up.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Joe took her to the hut to stay and she shot him in the back knowing it would not kill him, but showing him her anger, defiance and betrayal.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book and could not put it down. So many twists and turns, you never know whats is coming next. Jessica, you are my hero.

What did you love best about Jessica?

The easy to read and listen to story line. You really feel like you are living in Jessica's shoes.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jessica by far but the legal advisor was good too.

Have you listened to any of Humphrey Bower’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Excellent as usual. His voice was made to read Bryce's work.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Most definately a film not to miss.

I read the book years ago. Listening to it again now was great. I picked up on little things I had previously skipped over.

A true story with so much to give and written splendidly. Humphrey was a pleasure to listen to. How great and sad this book is. And oh so happy too. Enjoyable to the very end. Thanks Bryce.

Nobody writes the way Bryce Courtenay does!

Bryce Courtenay has such a talent for drawing the reader into his stories, making feel so real. The way he weaves in true historical facts of the time in the land down under is a gift! Thank you Humphrey Bower for your talented narration! I completely lose myself and feel each character separately. Bravo!!

INCREDIBLE!

Wow! Another amazing book by Courtenay. Can you believe he didn't start writing until he as 55?? Goes to show you, it's never to late to take the plunge!

I loved, The Power of One, and this book, set in Australia, I love as well. Crazy that it is based on a true story! And the Audible was INCREDIBLE!!!

It is not easy on the heart. Like the Power of One, this book is full of examples showing the very weak and wicked side of humanity. Hester is SO, SO evil!!! However, love conquers all, and heroes and underdogs are highlighted. Jessica being at the top. The writing and story is beautiful.

Great storyteller

Bryce Courtney once again writes a story not to be put down. Reading you can't help but root for Jessica who is a champion in her own right. Loved the book.

Bryce Courtney is an awesome story teller l have read and listened to most of his books and he never disappoints. Humphrey Bower is also the best reader of his books I’ve ever heard.

Another Courtenay Masterpiece.

Everyone should listen to at least one Bruce Courtenay novel with the wonderful narrator he uses for all of his books. After one you will be hooked and have to listen to all of his books.
