The story of a couple madly in love and just plain mad.

Good story; abrupt ending

Took a bit to get interested. But the story did pick up. I was just caught off guard that the book all of the sudden ended. Would have preferred a more developed ending. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

It has potential...

It's ironic that a book based around a female book publisher, who tells her husband that his manuscript needs work because the story needs to be rounded out, has that exact problem. It's told in jerky fashion, bouncing around time periods without explanation. And then it has a worse ending than the first "Hobbit" movie. At least they had the excuse that it was a trilogy, so the story wasn't actually over. This was just... lazy.

I liked this book

It is not a thriller or a mystery. Maybe a mystery “lite” but not really. It’s a story of a relationship. It’s good. It’s well written and the the narration is good. It’s not exciting just a story.

Excellent book

This was a very well written book. I was captured from the beginning, thanks to the narrator. The timeline was back and forth but I had no problem following the story. I didn’t get why this was a mystery thought. This was included in Audible Plus and I enjoyed it so much for it to be free! I will look for more books by the author.

The narrator did a great job. I was never distracted from the story.

Anticlimactic

I felt like I was waiting for this big finale that would wrap the story up neatly and it never came.

I was waiting patiently.

I enjoyed the tone of the story. The readers voice was easy to listen to. The characters were likable... but it didn't go anywhere. Maybe I was expecting something different.

One of the few audibles I have thoroughly enjoyed…

Excellent in every way! I didn’t want this story to end. Perhaps there will be a sequel written!

Eloquently written love story about toxic relation

Without giving too much away, it's basically a story of a highly toxic relationship between two socially stunted wannabes, put together using as many SAT words as possible. The narrator was my favorite part. All.the characters were extremely unlikeable, not to mention the ridiculous names ("Bergeaux" & "Moneena" & "Trissa"). It also boasts an inordinate number of cliches (predictable references to plastic surgery enhanced LA dwellers & "snooty French"). The story was interesting enough (albeit predictable) that I powered through it. But I'm thankful I didn't spend any credit or money on it.

It's interesting.

" Do you like (the) book? It's interesting. That's what you say when you learn something but you don't enjoy it." from chapter 51.
