Tiffany Richardson went from the bottom to the top in a matter of months, because she stumbled into a job that landed her executive producer and head writer for a hit television series called Boy Crazy. All was well and things were perfect for Tiffany until the day she got the news that her show was going to be cancelled, before going home to catch her man in bed with the hired help. Determined to find a new home for her show and to get over her two-timing ex- boyfriend Jeff, she seeks out every network on the roaster, but gets nowhere until she gets interest from TiMax, a cable network ran by Langley Green, father of Tressa Green, who happens to be the fiance of Tiffany's old high school crush Kory Banks.
The queen of L.A. Tressa, Kory's soon to be bride, not only wants to keep Tiffany and Kory apart, before they jump the broom, she also wants to make sure Tiffany's show never airs on her father's network. Although Kory and Tiffany realize that there is still an attraction for each other, Kory decides to move on with Tressa and Tiffany decides to focus on her career, but love is love and Tressa's schemes and manipulative devices to destroy Tiffany causes her to lose more than Kory in the end.

My problem with this story is that it is 100% predictable. It screams plus sized, black, female author with skinny light skin girl envy. Tifany Richardson is an angelic, make-him-wait-for-the-cookie, "underdog" who constantly falls into good fortune and luck even when EVERYONE around her tries to bring her down. First a racist network exec, then a cheating boyfriend, then a hating skinny b^tch and the skinny chicks paid-to-be-the-thick-girl's-boyfriend minion. Amongst it all, Tifany is morally sound and sweet yet fierce enough to kick your a$$! It's annoying and boring. I am realizing that many of these stories lack any true character depth or development. I want my freaking credit back. They are too expensive for this kind of blandness.
This book was the best book I've read in a while it was suspenseful interesting and easy to follow I recommend anyone who's looking for a good book to take them out of the everyday and enjoy the saga and suspense must pick up this book to read.

I'm Doin Me is a great book! I thoroughly enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I will definitely read it / listen to it again! Awesome!
Simply complicated. I like a little fiction in my life to break it all up. No time to read anymore so now I listen to my books.
I finished this book in three days, I never wanted to stop listening. I wanted & needed to know what was going to happened next. It didn't disappoint
I'm a huge fan of Audible. As a school librarian, I've found that it passes my days and nights.
The main character was portrayed as a strong independent young woman. Even with obstacles she overcame. Although predictable Ms. Black did a great job with character development. it ended with me wondering if there will be a sequel. The narrator left a lot to be desired. The female characters portrayal was great but the male characters were kinda creepy..
