From the title I expected strong powerful women but all I got was drug addicts, who abandoned their kids at the drop of a hat and chased behind the worst of men. Rape, physical and verbal abuse. It's just not my kind of entertainment.
Can't wait to get into the next book. Great narration and story. You get to know the characters and their personalities. Keeps you on edge and anxious to find out what happened next. This would make a great movie.
Interesting, Entertaining and Enlightening!! On to book two, Street Divas. Can't wait to see what happens with all of the characters
Lovvve Audiobook! I could listen/read books all day!
Hands down one of the best Audio books I've heard on audible so far!
She did the characters voices soo good! At some points I even forgot the book was being read by one single person! She did the crackhead Alice's voice so on point! and Yolanda's as well!
YES YES YES!! Heard the whole BOOK in one day! Loved IT and now addicted to the series!
It was a good follow up to part one. It finishes where part one leaves you dangling in suspense. The only thing I didn't like was the switch in the narrator. They did present an entire cast of readers for this book, which made the characters a little easier to follow. Drama filled.
I highly recommend this book. It is well written and the narrator brought so much life and compassion to the main character and her struggles and trimphs.
How the main character processed her decisions.
Honey Jones breathed realism into the character. Honey Jones effectively brought out that main character Goldie was a real person who got caught up. Her voice was a joy to listen to.
Goldie. She was a lot of fun, and she was resilient.
Other readers will like this book a whole lot!!
i was a bit skeptical when i listened to the snippet when it talked about someone of high school age...but i was wrong. this book was had a great story with colorful characters that draw you in. i promise you won't want to stop listening. need more books by De'Nesha Diamond!
I truely like the book, but the rawness of certain sense was to much for me. At times I wanted to turn the book off, but I was suck wanting to know what happen next. OAN: cant wait to to hear want happen in the next book.
More than Expected
The end of the book.
This was an excellent performance. They were able to keep the characters seperate and make the book seem very real.
All of them.
I listen to the snippet of this book more than 5 times before deciding on it. After reading the reviews for a 2nd time i said what the heck. When it started i thought it would be a bit immature with no great story line. I WAS WRONG. The book actually has a story that is one that you want to continue to hear more of. I really really enjoyed the book after all. Everyone in the book had a story and it was great. If you like urban reads then you would most. def. enjoy this one. And i read alot.
