never let go!
tyler, you got to love a man that protects his woman !
i did listen to this in one sitting i cleaned my whole house! i had to find out who was the killer and why
Yes, I do enjoy Rochelle's books and own a few hard copies. I have two audio books that Cary has read and i enjoyed both.
There were just SOOOOOOOOOOOO many words and descriptions, it was over kill. I can understand painting the picture and making sure the reader has a good visual but man in this book they just kept going round and round.
I loved his voice. He was great.
The lawyers because they didnt help. His family in mexico, they didnt help. He was a good uncle, but what was the point of the visit there? The story line when she went to work for the newspaper. She could have uncovered the same info on her own, in fact she did. Her nosy neighbor. If she was so nosy then why not let her start up the rumors or do something other than just ask if she was sick.
I was just disappointed. Tyler seemed like he had anger issues and was very controlling. At the age of 41 you married a woman you had only know for 1/2 a month? There wasnt enough romancing to believe they feel in love at first sight. After all that time of not trusting a man she just up and married him. The romance part flew, while the crime wasnt really dug into enough and Tyler's medical went too deep. Let's not even talk about the tornado.
The book started very slow then peaked as fast as a kid grows up on a soap opera. I never got to truly know the characters and then it was over. Cary Hite (who is usually pretty good) sounds unrehearsed and you can actualy hear him correct himself on the recording. The female voices are horid.
Like both author and narrator but in this case not so good. May have been better having different narrator to read for female parts Cary came across very cheesy, and unbelievable. Just couldn't get into lead female character partly due the reading rest to writing for character.
