What did you like best about Home Again? What did you like least?

I liked the idea of the story. I didn't like some of the content in the beginning but actually, after hearing all of the story, I could see that it was it all had a purpose, even the questionable parts.

Would you recommend Home Again to your friends? Why or why not?

    Sure

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes. Well done.

    Any additional comments?

Some parts were a 'bit' preachy but overall, WELL done. Very enjoyable.

    "Sappy, sweet Insta-love"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

This whole series is marked by this 'soulmate love' connection at first sight that I would most definitely change. The overly sweetened nicknames, the syrupy declarations of love, gave me serious of cavities that had me putting down the book multiple times to fix.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I would hope it wouldn't, I think there are far better books in regards to the development of romance that would do this genre more justice.

    Any additional comments?

I gave this book's plot such low stars because it book flipped too much between past and present and different POV's. And I didn't understand the main characters motivations for why they broke apart for three years and even why they even decided to get together again, considering.

"Nice Listen, but over the top at times."
What did you love best about Home Again?

I like the flashes to the past and back the future. I do wish the narrator (or whomever edited the book) would take pauses, a couple of seconds would make a world of difference when switching between tenses.

Would you recommend Home Again to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes. Great listen for a short road trip, sex scenes are graphic and very detailed, just be sure you are listening with someone special or alone, lol.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Gelder’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not as of yet but I have a few I haven't gotten around to yet.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Good Question. After listening to the book, the title is not that fitting to me but I really don't have a good one myself.

    Any additional comments?

The characters were great but a bit overly dramatic with the lovey dovey. It reminded me of Seinfeld's The Soup Nazi" with the "smoopy" nonsense and one of the characters was very insecure and hot headed (speaking to the nurses/doctors at the hospital that I almost started to dislike him. Outside of that, the story was nice, nothing I haven't heard before and kind of predictable, but it still didn't stop me from overall enjoying it.

    "Very Sweet"

I enjoyed this audiobook. The story is sappy but I like that so it works out, and the reader was one of those readers who does a solid job of the reading. I liked the way that the main characters took care of each other (for the most part) in the book.

    "Very Misleading Summary"
What made the experience of listening to Home Again the most enjoyable?

It was a great story but Jeff Gelder is an excellent narrator. He gives each character a distinctive voice and personality. Which makes the story that much better.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Home Again?

When Clark and Noah first come together in the hospital.

Which character – as performed by Jeff Gelder – was your favorite?

I would have to say that Clark was my favorite character. The way he cares for Noah even before he realizes who Noah will be to him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes it did. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and Home Again was one of the best.

    Any additional comments?

This is one book I made the mistake of not purchasing when I should have. I kept reading the publisher's summary thinking I wouldn't enjoy the book. However with the number of people who gave it good reviews I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. I will be more careful from now on.

"I think I just don't like the way Cardeno C writes"

I really want to like these Home Again stories...I have read so many good reviews about them...but for some reason every one I listen to is just boring to me.

Maybe if Crisden narrates, but right now.. I just didn't like the back and forth POV jumps.

    "Boring and a little confusing"

I didn't like this one. I don't know if it was the narrator, but it was boring.
It took me a minute to get use to the alternating POV since I was listening to it. It was past POV from Clark, present POV from Noah. It was clear there was something between them, I guess Clark was telling us how they came together in the past, and Noah was telling us where they were now in the present.

Also, I got so sick of Noah calling Clark "angel" that I was getting irritated. For such a short audiobook, it was a slow read. I am figuring out that I require a certain amount of drama to give me that angsty feeling. I didn't get that here. It was just a man who got hurt in an accident calling out for his lover, and trying to piece together the last 3 years he can't remember.

After reading Capture & Surrender, this one fell flat for me. I don't think there is anything I enjoyed about this one. I may read book 2 in the future, but this one felt monotoned and overly simplistic

    "two thumbs up!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I loved the characters, and the story, but at times I got confused with the past and present points of view. It went back and forth quite a bit. I also find it hard to believe that anyone would try and prove that the person that loves them would never abandon them by getting caught with someone else sucking them off... Otherwise, loved it! Great characters, and interesting story.

    Any additional comments?

I've read a few of the other stories in this particular series, and plan to read them all. I really like the writer ;0

"Good story, but not great! My least favorite"
Would you try another book from Cardeno C. and/or Jeff Gelder?

Absolutely, the rest of the series is great! Jeff Gelder is my least favorite of the narrators. Maybe you should read instead of listen to this one. Paul Morey and Sean Crisden are much better with narration.

If you’ve listened to books by Cardeno C. before, how does this one compare?

I have listened to all Cardeno C. Books available. Never should anyone listen to Jeff Gelder

What three words best describe Jeff Gelder’s performance?

    Boring, nasal, monotone

Was Home Again worth the listening time?

It is necessary to get the beginning of the series, but would probably read this one

    Story
"Home is with the one you love!"
Would you listen to Home Again again? Why?

I certainly would and I have. I really like the way the book changes from Noah's story of the present, to Clark's story of their past then alternates back to Noah and so on. I always enjoy this type of book as you get both characters points of view. I love knowing what feelings or thoughts are happening in response to the other character's behavior through the scenes and the other characters take on a situation or past event. The author does this wonderfully through Home Again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Home Again?

Noah finishing school and returning home to Clark after four years of no contact and finally able to build a future together that Noah never doubted they would have.

Have you listened to any of Jeff Gelder’s other performances? How does this one compare?

I have not, so I am unable to compare.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely, as with all of Cardeno C's books!

    Any additional comments?

Home Again is love story that covers the lives and the relationship of Noah and Clark from their teens through to adulthood. In spite of the trials and tribulations of Noah's family and Clark's heartbreak with the loss of his mother to cancer, the author doesn't dwell on the grief and frustrations but emphasizes on the love, strength and devotion of the characters.
