No matter what your favorite holiday, you won't want to miss celebrating it with the author who has been called "one of the funniest writers alive" (Economist).

Interesting enough that I wasn't totally disappointed but there wasn't a lot of laugh out loud dialouge. I thought the most genuine and funny part was about the authors childhood. I wish there was a bit more of it.
It seems a bit mean-spiritred at times.
Sedaris did a fantastic job reading. It gave the text more authenticity.
This isn't the type of book that would lend itself to a movie.
I listened to it while I wrapped Christmas gifts. It was a present to myself and a relatively light "read".
This books is no exception to the level of popularity that the greatness of all other books David Sedaris has allowed him.
While this one would probably be properly appreciated during the holiday season, (Late October through December) I have no repercussions in giving this book all the stars allowed.
I purposely read and cherish Sedaris' books when they are read by the author himself (as this one is).
This is one of the type of books that I could easily see myself listening to again and being equally satisfied by it.
Say something about yourself!
I bought it for "Santaland Diaries" which I had never read, and it alone is worth the price of admission. The rest, to me, is just filler; I liked best the ones I'm already familiar with ("Dinah the Christmas Whore" and "Six to Eight Black Men").
Like several other reviews, I laugh myself sick with David Sedaris stories. However, this collection of stories just weren't that funny.
A short listen; some great fiction as well as Sedaris' timeless account of working as an elf at Macy's. For someone who's become jaded about the holidays, Sedaris really gave me something to laugh at.
David Sedaris can either be hilarious or a bit cringe-worthy, but this book is almost entirely hilarious. Take care when listening while driving - there are parts so funny that I almost ran off the road!
Yes, I love to hear about the Santa Land Diaries. Working in retail, the diaries, well maybe not 100% accurate, it catches a lot of peoples attitudes
Funny, original, crative
This collection of Sedaris' holiday related stories is a laugh a minute. He takes everday events with which we are all familiar (eg a visit to Santa in Macy's or the holiday letter ) and presents unique perspectives on them. He is an original and creative humorist. I have most of his books and intend to get the rest!
His reading makes the story more intimate and personal.
It would make a wonderful gift for those people in your life with whom you share laughter.
Yes, Because David Sedaris reads it in his own voice.
None come to mind
Yes, David Sedaris Has a great reading voice.
This is a great book to listen to during the Holidays. I love David Sedaris humor.
