The story of a couple with seemingly perfect lives...and the secrets they hide behind closed doors. Perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty and Jo Jo Moyes.
On paper, Grace's new husband, Adam, is the perfect package. Good looking, great job, charming - some would say out of her league. So when he disappears from her life one evening, Grace has a lot of questions.
As she tries to track him down, Grace opens a Pandora's box of secrets and lies, and soon troubling facts about Adam's past emerge - facts she finds hard to square with the man she married.
Was marrying Adam the biggest mistake Grace has ever made? What secrets was her husband hiding behind closed doors? And is the truth so terrible it will tear her apart?

"An easy-to-read, often thought-provoking tale about grief and family feuds as well as overcoming trauma and the value of true friendship". (Daily Mail)
"A real gem - a light-hearted, highly original story." (Love It Magazine)
I would have loved to stop listening to this book about halfway in; I kept hoping not would get better...it didn't! The characters were not well developed and were completely predictable. I would not recommend.
I enjoyed it. It's pretty evident what occurs and the fact that the main character can't pinpoint drives me nutS. She's a sweet & your girl. Just too trusting. I would purse Beth Thomas' other books. Love the narrator!

I enjoyed the book. The narrator was quite good. Fun little read but you could see where the story would go very early on.
Easy listening, good to escape into for a little while each day. Well read, would recommend for summer listen! X
A nice, simple, book, easy listening and enjoyable, if a little predictable, overall not a bad book.
"Predictable and dull"
Main character was portrayed and childish and a bit pathetic anyone real in that situation would have had a bit of oomf about them
"loved Beths first book. but this one.."
not so much. may have been partly the story partly the narrator. shame. bit dissapointed.
