Ven, Roz, Olive and Frankie have been friends since school. They day-dreamed of glorious futures, full of riches, romance and fabulous jobs. Twenty-five years later, Olive cleans other people's houses to support her lazy, out-of-work husband and his ailing mother. Roz cannot show her caring husband Manus any love because her philandering ex has left her trust in shreds. And she and Frankie have fallen out big time. But Ven is determined to reunite her friends and realise the dream they had of taking a cruise before they hit 40. Before they know it, the four of them are on the high seas. But can 16 days of luxury and indulgence distract from the tension and loneliness that await their return?

I have listened to it more than once already.
Any of Milly Johnson books all are great.
She was excellent.
Without going into details about the story. It was when Venice explained everything to the girls and why she did what she did.
Just a great light happy holiday read. I read it on the Greek Islands which is why I particularly liked the setting.
It was a great romantic story. Most enjoyable. Never got boring, well read enjoyed every chapter.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every Milly Johnson book.
Would have to be the Captain.........
A lovely storey with a good ending.
This was such an adorable story of friendship, life & love! It made me want to grab my girls & book the next cruise available! Out of all her books I've read this has been my favorite. Also anything read by Colleen Prendergast is worth listening to.
I am a total audiobook addict! I travel quite a bit for work and listen to them while I drive. Always searching for a good author to follow
It is a fantastic story and the narration is fabulous to listen to
I love the whole story but the best bit is the end
I love her!! She does great accents and makes the stories great to listen to
It made me laugh quite a bit. The girls in the story have a good sense of humour. No tears in this one though
I have listened to all of Milly Johnsons books and I just love them all SO much.
"Trust me ladies this book is a must read."
OMG I love this book, its very well written.
It's funny, warm and made me laugh out loads.
I really couldn't put this book down it's about 4 friends with there own story's and I feel that by the end they were my friends I new them so well.
I will look forward to reading again soon......
I loved this book. It had a bit of everything, real life characters, moving bits, sad bits, love, laughter, romance. I really laughted an awful lot. I cried too. I couldn't put it down. I was rooting for all the characters. I felt like I was on a journey with these ladies. I was sad when the book came to an end. Definitely read/listen to this book. The narrater was a great fit for the style of the story and characters. Its a great easy going book to get lost in. Enjoy!
I think the narrator was very good and she made a good story even better.
I liked all the women, but Olive was my favourite character, she had such a long way to go.
The author has captured so many different qualities of human nature and the nastiness of some people who do not care how they treat other people and how one little episode in life can change the whole course of your life.
I couldn't stop listening to this story and had a compelling need to buy some more of her stories. She never fails to draw her audience in and take them on a roller coaster ride.
It made me want to go on a cruise!!
"laughed and cried all the way through"
like the style of writing and subject matters.
Frankie, honest and true a born survivor.
Olive could get a clear picture of her in my mind.
Both, could appreciate everything that happened on the cruise.
Fabulous book I would recommend it to "all the girls".
"A feel good book with fun from start to finish."
I have never read anything by Milly Johnson, to be honest I hadn’t even heard of her. What a feel good book, with sheer fun from start to finish, this most certainly will not be my last. For a change I wanted an easy, fun read and that is exactly what I got. I loved this audiobook from within about ten minutes of the start and was always disappointed when I had to stop listening to do something else. We meet the four best friends when they are still at school and then meet them again later in life when they go on a cruise. Throughout the book it felt like I was the fifth member of the group and going along with them. If only…. I wish! Each of the women has had various life experiences, which as the listener we can easily relate to. The four girls are realistic, down to earth and all from Yorkshire. The narration by Colleen Prendegast couldn’t have been better, she was brilliant, there was never any issues trying to define which character was speaking, credit to her. Of course I would recommend this to everyone, but if you like to analyse the plot, interpret the characters, look for hidden meanings then maybe this is not for you. However, I loved it.
"here come the girls"
