Amazing book!!!

I love this series! I have read it at least 3 times myself. The narrator was amazing and brought to light things I didn't notice even after 3 self reads! I highly recommend this series!

Another amazing work of art by Francine Rivers.

This series depicts the relationship between Mothers, daughters and grandmothers across the historical timeline; God being the cornerstone. I can see the hurts, bitterness and resentment and love depicted so truthfully that occur in families. I was forever touched and awakened to the needs and possible feelings of my own daughters and mother. Beautifully written and creatively educational as the series encompases the various wars through history. My heart was forever touched!

Kept Me Listening

Love the way Francine Rivers takes me into the lives of individuals and families in the timeless struggle, and most often unspoken and seemingly impossible dynamics of love, loss, and fear. Then especially how God reveals himself along the way.

Tender story of love

This story was so relatable. It exemplifies how we are formed by the love and encouragement, or lack there of, that we receive from our parents. Wonderful storytelling! I loved every minute of it. It really made me think about my own childhood and why I am who I am.

A very real feeling story

I did not want it to end. This book has everything, that you want in a book. The imaging is perfect, the author makes of see and feel the characters. This story deals with family and real situations, and even some history.
Can’t wait to read another selection.

Recommend highly. Narration was also excellent.

An Adventurous Spirit in an Independent Woman

It was a great story, moving over many years in the life of a girl, growing up to be an independent woman. Many short stories among the novel, each place she moved to or new job had its own little story going on within the plot of the novel. I liked the strong, independent woman who was the main character. She had much courage. I liked the detail, it was a good amount to get into the characters without getting lost in too many subplots. Then, after giving us all of that detail, the story ended abruptly. I felt like it could have gone on a bit longer to tie up the lose ends. Narration was good.
