My first choice "Heaven is for Real" was to be my first ever audio book. I should've trusted my instinct. I don't know if it was the narrator, or the story itself, but I began to feel like a third grader being read to just before nap time. I'd like to believe that this book is a factual recount of his experience, so I will. However, I'm that person who wants to "not" believe all these stories because I want to be MADE to believe that the other side has been seen, and that it truly exists. Book trade-ins are allowed, correct? And it's a no questions asked, if not satisfied...? Cool-
~ thank you for reading my review
This is a short story about one man's near death experience. I don't find it to be of sound doctrine. It presumes that we still have choices to make about our salvation after we die, and that there is another place of eternity outside of heaven and hell.
I would not recommend this book for a number of reasons. It was too short and then narrated very quickly - not much room for character development or entertainment value. I also did not think it was true to scripture.
Way too fast.
No, thank you.
