Laughed during the whole thing...the last sort my boys and I played over and over five times in a row laughing so hard we had tears coming down our faces. The narrator was PERFECT for the role. Well written and well read. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookblast in exchange for an unbiased review
The read is very good with the different characters voices
I love the way she handled the characters personalities with her voice.
No I played it and listened and then play it some more.
The reader captured the voice of the characters
Harry Potter. The characters were interesting
No, but I enjoyed her reading Hairy Tales, it allowed me to close my eyes and imagine characters that I could compare with the vision my Grandchildren had. It was great fun.
These short stories are descriptive and quirky; not your typical tales. The narration is really good, and the character voices help bring the tales to life.
These short stories are very creative, written in a way that expresses how children think when they are being silly together.
The narrator adds depth to the stories and helps the listener easily imagine each character. The flow that she creates makes it easy for any listener, young or old, to follow each adventure.
I would recommend this for children, during trips or rainy spells, to keep the boredom away.
Although I am not considered young, I still enjoyed listening as the narrator performed each story.

"Hairy Tales: A Collection of Stories for Naughty Boys and Girls" This title says it all. I'm sure Middle Grade kids would love this book! There is a lot of good gross out stories. Yucky humor to make you laugh out loud!
The narration was well done, the characters were well portrayed.
"Clever and slightly naughty fables for children"
fables, quirky, funny.
Probably something like Charlie and the Choc Factory, Matilda etc.
lots of charcters from the different stories but my fave was the ugly mermaid; that was a surprise!.
quite sad for the mice in Horatia the slug story, but it had a happy ending..
not what I expected at all, but theres a lot of detail in the stories and I think children would appreciate it, esp. if they listen to the stories several times. quite a few 'messages' in the stories for kids to pick up.
"Funny and Interesting...."
He does a great job. I was kept humored and interested till the end.

"Review- Smart but silly"
Probably, but it's more for my childen- they liked Podge the pig and the mermaid.
More like a TV show like jackanory.
Probably makes it more interesting to listen to others read.
No, because these are short stories, But listened to each one all in one go.
Would recommend, kids will like it.
"Short and silly stories, great for school commute"
My son's attention span doesn't go far when it comes to books, so this set of short stories work for him.
He sat chuckling in the car on the way to school with this playing on his earphones all week. Made the trip a lot quieter.
My son played this, not me, and said he liked what happened to the Ugly Mermaid.
Silly stories to keep kids engrossed.
"impartial review in exchange for the audiobook"
I am an occasional reviewer of books and audiobooks, and was recently sent a copy of Hairy Tales in return for this impartial review.
I would say that Hairy Tales is written for children, but at the same time it works for adults also - there are a few jokes and rhymes that parents will get. 'Pythonesque' is how I might describe it. Overall, the stories and rhymes are well written, and well narrated. Some of the rhymes are very clever indeed, and worth repeated listening to pick up all the details.
The narrator ‘performs’ much of the stories, rather than narrates - which I think children would like as narrations can often sound quite flat.
There’s a fair amount of ‘gross out’ humor in some of the stories, but children love that, don’t they?
Aesops Fables, Wimpy Kid series, Tom Gates, Horrid Henry, Walliams' books.
Uncle Disgusting. Great name.
Plenty of chuckles.
Unexpected and not what I usually read/listen, but after 'giving it a listen' I enjoyed it.
"Loved it. Very silly"
Lots of silly stories, mainly aimed at children but with a lot of elements to amuse grown ups also. Was gifted this from publisher as a review copy; plan to buy for niece for Xmas.
