Smoke

This is another great book about the Jensen's. This one is about Smoke. Lazarus comes in and is causing a war . He wants all the gold. He says he's a Preacher. They have a really good gunfight at the end. The whole book is good. Jack Garrett does a great job narraiting this book. If my review was any help will you please click the helpful link. Thank you

Good Story

This is a good story for light listening. It is not complicated. The flash backs could be identified better though.

Lazarus Said He Was Doing God's Work,

Excellent story. Like three books in one, with many flash backs that I already heard in past stories and repeated in detail. The good part is for someone that has never read or listened to a Smoke Jensen story, Jack Garrett gives you a introduction to characters in Smokes life including his own. Most had nothing to do with the main story, but brings back memories of the past.

Mr. Johnstone has a vivid imagination and is a excellent Author. His books are filled with action, but in the audio department, Jack Garrett knocks it out of the park. He has the right voice for reading Westerns. He also emerges one into the situation. His descriptions of the characters makes me seem to see them,

Not recommended for the young, because this story as others is filled with graphic descriptions of violence.

I will keep listening until I get bored, but I don't see that for now. Money well worth spent so far.

Great story line

If you could sum up Guns of the Mountain Man in three words, what would they be?

Intense and exciting from Chapter One. Jack Garrett is without a doubt one of the best readers of western novels.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters, the plot and the reading

What does Jack Garrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Jack is, in my opinion, has the best delivery of a western novel...he nails it!!!

Who was the most memorable character of Guns of the Mountain Man and why?

Smoke Jensen

Any additional comments?

All of William W Jonstones books are really great, the Mountain Man series is on par with Zane Gray, Louis L 'Amour combined with Jack reading well worth it

another great book from the Jensen series

whenever Jack Garrett narrates the book he makes it feel as if you're in the middle of the action

Come on seriously?

A knock off of Josey Wales...another book that repeatedly rehashes the previous Smoke books. This book would be a 3rd of the length without all filler material. At least put some effort into it. Glad it was free

Hard to take.....

Garrett good job.... This is my 6th Johnston’s book .... In every book Johnstone goes out of his way to include graphic detail of abuse and rape to women... to much a part of his storyline.... It is to hard for me to take... I guess I am just to use to Louis L’Amour who writes of honor and respect of women in the western frontier.... I’m done with Johnstone...
