Funny and pleasantly unexpected ending

The book started out really funny. The thoughts that run through a single, over weight woman's mind is right on. Funny and sad, but very real.

The narration was nicely done, very believable.
The characters were adequately developed giving just enough description to understand the characters relationship to the main character.

The story flowed nicely and I never got bored. I listened to the entire book in one afternoon.

I don't love it.

I read this book when I was younger and liked it. I thought I'd check it out again, but for some reason, I don't like it anymore.
The story is a bit plain and moves rather slowly. The character is funny, but that's about it. I can't really feel for her since she makes stupid decisions and keeps trying to get back with a guy who ditched her and shamed her.
I like smart characters and unfortunately, this one is not that smart.
The performance of the narrator is exceptional though.

All time fav

This is one of my all-time favorite chick lit books. I'm an English major, so I typically read heavier stuff. But, when I want something light, fun, and touching, I always come back to this one! Love it!

A Genuine Surprise

This was not at all what I expected but was a real treat. She is someone you can easily relate to and you get caught up so readily in her challenges.

Great performance!

The story was told beautifully, it just didn't live up to its hype for me.Don't get wrong the story was interesting but there seem to be gaps in the sequice of things.

Highly recommend

This book was so entertaining I could not put it down. The narrator was able to give me a clear picture in my mind of each character. Yes, that is what they are supposed to do, but not all have that talent. I don't know which one impressed me more the author or the narrator. This is both a funny and at times sad story. I recommend this book for both men and women. Women, I think will Identify with the main character and Men can learn a little about how women sometimes really think.

Love this book!

I don't want this book to ever end! I listen to it on the way home and I keep finding myself in my car, idling in front of my house, listening to it instead of going inside where it's warm!

She's done it again!

This book should be purchased along with it's sequel "Certain Girls". Good in Bed remains my favorite JW work and i've read them all. I AM Canny . THis book touched my heart!

Attention grabbing

The main character in this book had me at hello! I couldn't walk away from the audio recording. I laughed outloud in my car and got tears in my eyes throughout the book. I would highly recommend it.
