Publisher's summary

NOW A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES • “Gone for Good contains more plot twists than you can count, with a jarring revelation in nearly every chapter. . . . [Harlan] Coben has crafted a taut thriller with a slew of compelling characters. . . . As subtle as a shotgun, and just as effective.”—San Francisco Chronicle

As a boy, Will Klein had a hero: his older brother, Ken. Then, on a warm suburban night in the Kleins’ affluent New Jersey neighborhood, a young woman—a girl Will had once loved—was found brutally murdered in her family’s basement. The prime suspect: Ken Klein. With the evidence against him overwhelming, Ken simply vanished. And when his shattered family never heard from Ken again, they were sure he was gone for good.

Now eleven years have passed. Will has found proof that Ken is alive. And this is just the first in a series of stunning revelations as Will is forced to confront startling truths about his brother—and himself. As a violent mystery unwinds around him, Will knows he must press his search all the way to the end. Because the most powerful surprises are yet to come.

“Coben stands on the accelerator and never lets up. . . . The action is seamless, clear, and riveting.”—People (Page-turner of the Week)

Jack about Voice

I thought the story was great-a new twist at every turn. What I did not like was the voice of the reader,Jonathan Marosz. He did not have enough inflection that this book demands-the voice was almost like a monotone. After a while it was not as exciting as the discription of the story.

One of the Best Ever!

Without a doubt, one of Coben's best. With more twists & turns than the road to Hana, it's fast paced and keeps the listener thoroughly entertained. Highly recommend.

Wow!

Harlan Coben always puts some great twists in his books. I thought I had this one figured out. Boy was I wrong! This had me gripped to the end! I always love how he makes the characters seem like the neighbors - people you think know pretty well, people you relate to, people pretty much like you, until the skeletons start coming out of the closet and you wonder what else you don't know about them. You have to keep reading because your curiosity will keep you up at night! This is one of Coben's best -- and they are all awesome!

SLOW.....

Would you try another book from Harlan Coben and/or Jonathan Marosz?

This book was just a little too slow for me. I have tried two other books and they kept me interested......it picked up as the story went.

Would you be willing to try another book from Harlan Coben? Why or why not?

Yes and I already have.......I just didn't listen to the sample first......

Good story, good narration, bad background noisr

There is a ton of back ground noise like someone talking or a radio playing.. so listening to this is a bit distracting on head phones. Not to noticeable in the car though.

Twists to the very end

This was a really fun story - when you thought you knew what was going on, Coben would throw a twist in. When you thought the story was wrapping up, there was another twist. Another excellent Coben book that will keep you guessing that I highly recommend.

Twisty good!!!

This is my first Harlan Coben book. I really enjoyed it! Lots of twists, turns & suspense!!! I would highly recommend!! I almost didn’t listen because of the reviews about the narrator. I thought the narration was good & enjoyed listening. I DO, however, agree that the narrators voice seemed “too old” for the book’s main character, but I did NOT find Marosz to be “boring”, “monotonous” or “terrible”. This was a solid “whodunnit”—if you like those, you’ll love this one!!

Awesome!

I watched the movie on Netflix and had to hear the book version on Audible. I needed clarity to the movie. I received the clarity I was seeking. My jaw dropped as I listen to the final details. Thank you so much. I recommend this audiobook to those who like stories without lusty sex details. This was terrific and a great use of my time.
