Publisher's summary

NOW A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES • “Gone for Good contains more plot twists than you can count, with a jarring revelation in nearly every chapter. . . . [Harlan] Coben has crafted a taut thriller with a slew of compelling characters. . . . As subtle as a shotgun, and just as effective.”—San Francisco Chronicle

As a boy, Will Klein had a hero: his older brother, Ken. Then, on a warm suburban night in the Kleins’ affluent New Jersey neighborhood, a young woman—a girl Will had once loved—was found brutally murdered in her family’s basement. The prime suspect: Ken Klein. With the evidence against him overwhelming, Ken simply vanished. And when his shattered family never heard from Ken again, they were sure he was gone for good.

Now eleven years have passed. Will has found proof that Ken is alive. And this is just the first in a series of stunning revelations as Will is forced to confront startling truths about his brother—and himself. As a violent mystery unwinds around him, Will knows he must press his search all the way to the end. Because the most powerful surprises are yet to come.

“Coben stands on the accelerator and never lets up. . . . The action is seamless, clear, and riveting.”—People (Page-turner of the Week)

Good story. Reader could use some work

The story was good. The reader had an odd intonation . Overall though, I enjoyed it. Not as good as some of his later work

Great story 👏

Love this writer. Great twist. Narrator was a bit disconnected with main character (robotic)

Good Story, Narration bad

Story was good but I struggled with the narratio n. It was really bad! I listen to books all the time and this is hands down the worst narration I have ever listened to. I won't listen to another book narrated by him.

Busy, busy, busy

No spoilers. No story/character regurgitation!
I always enjoy a good Coben book, and this one was no exception. The narration was a bit . . . well, not exactly enjoyable--kinda feelingless. At first that was a distraction for me, but eventually I got past that.
There was so much going on in this story, at times I had troubled keeping up. Many times, I found it necessary to reverse play a bit and relisten. Maybe that was the narration, maybe I was letting myself get distracted. Who knows? A lot of players in this game, as well.
All that said, Coben is a star. He juggles all the players and plots expertly. He brings it all together when the time is right. And he keeps the surprises/twists coming.
Enjoy!

Coben Can REEEEELY Tell A Story

More twists than spiral staircase, yet the all lead to a well plotted end. The characters are interesting and even tug at heart strings at times. If you're looking for a nice gym/pool/driving listen that will entertain you throughout.... This will do it. This was my first Harlen Coben. I'll listen to another, especially if it's read by Jonathan Marosz.

Good read but audio has background noise.

Found it frustrating to hear background noise in a lot of the chapters. Good story.
